How do I get to the idea that the plant has too much nitrogen or K instead of being hungry, First, is the plant overall light green, are the bottom leaves necrotic from the plant moving the mobile nutrients to the new growth, is the new growth spindly, these are all indicators of a hungry plant. We do not see that here so the problem is most likely not overall hungry. What do we see, the interveinal yellowing that indicates a Mg deficiency, dark green coloration of the entire plant and a bit of clawing, these are indicators of Nitrogen toxicity. If the Pot is too high in N there may be too much fertilizer altogether for this plant. BUT that is the problem with using any kind of time release fertilizer, you simply have no way of knowing what is in that pot?Or don’t! I suck at diagnosing issues!
