Id like to do a grow journal but I'm nervous of posting pictures. I'm in the UK so not legal here. How safe is it guys?

Very safe as far as I know. I would just not post pics of outdoors With landmarks. No worries

I am in the uk also,i have 4 grow journals documented here and another 2 on the go.when you upload pics to this site it removes the exif data so no one can see sensitive data from pictures.the only way they can even find out where you live is by your ip but that gives a rough estimate within say 20 miles and if they really want to know your address they have to go to your isp and ask them to give your details,but i use a vpn so they have no hope ever finding me.but serious dont worry as long as you dont upload pics with an envelope with your address on you will be fine.99% of people that get caught are caught because they tell people they are growing or neighbours smell the weed.number 1 rule of security is TELL NO ONE

Its a virtual private network.you pick a server wherever in the world and all your network traffic goes through that server,so sometimes i am in holland,usa,germany ect ect so you cannot be found

My parra went through the roof when i first got started but I have chilled out now... @2Stoned2Care is right you are safe, get a vpn to be extra safe and put your mind at ease. It would take the old bill a lot to get the info off this site legally, first they would need access the servers but they are not in the UK so they would need to co ornate with the country they are in and they are not going to that for a couple of plants, a ware house full then maybe. As 2stoned said if broken it will be the no tell, no sell, no smell rule that will get you court.
Getting journal going is the best thing for learning AFN just got me to a super awesome first harvest, all finished last night, check my journal out. Tag me when you get one going :smoking:

Wow haven't heard vpn in a long time. I used to play a live game and used vpn since it got serious enough where you never wanted anyone to know where you lived. Plus I always suspected the farther server from the games server would give an extra bump in speed. Crazy right but I was 8th in the world for quite awhile.

This really brings up s good topic and I think we need a thread about safety or online security if there isn't one already. VPN directions would be nice
