Extraction Magical Butter Machine... anyone else have one?

but I got $36 / gallon... after shipping it was 45 a piece... still they were here NEXT day!!!!

Yeah that's awesome...I'm sure we'll catch up with you guys soon, though I can't see our government willingly lower our 'SIN' taxes any time too soon.

I made some butter last night, but used below the MIN line and it browned quite a bit;; just 1 stick of butter and around 7g of bud, some soy lecithin...
I tried some today after it set in the fridge, just a small scrape on the fork on an empty stomach and I've been feeling a bit funny since then...

Any experience using browned butter? Mine smells like popcorn, as if I'd made it with already vaped bud -- but seems to work OK;;; I think it's because I underfilled the machine...if I had more buds on hand I'd be apt to make a larger batch....Maybe I should stick to the sauce pan until then.
 
:dance: it came in the mail today! I added a jar of extra virgin coconut oil (cold pressed? It said on back of jar) I added that in without melting it into the magical butter machine and dumped maybe a couple of oz of good popcorn and trim. I than have set it on 160 c for four hours.... Will get back to you all. ;)

Looking forward to this! Though not to thrilled on the staining part.... I have a potato ricer to get everything I can.....

Well I've done my first run with the magical butter... Only complaint is the straining part.... Am wondering if I added water if it would've been easier as it came out almost like a paste and the included strainer was useless (basically a cheapy coffee filter) I used a kitchen strainer and a coffee filter (paper) to strain, feel like I've could've gotten more product back... I think out way to much herb vs oil in there..... Maybe next time I'll add a cup of water....
I took the remains and tried to do a hot wash with with it.., will try to strain and clearify the wash tomorrow.... Made about 50-60 canna caps :thumbs: feeling very nice at the moment from clean up, which included ingesting a spoon full of that paste mix.... It was nasty stuff but the Pepsi made it go down ;)
Very happy so far with the machine and I think with some more experimenting I'll be even happier.
Any tips on straining final product?

Adding water will not make it easier!!
Haha I tried doing that once, and all it did was really slow down the process... No matter what the screen sucks all of the leftovers to the screen then it takes forever.

For straining I would recommend going and purchasing a pack of Cheese Cloth. Then just cut it up and layer it a decent amount, then you can use that to strain it. Just wash your hands and make sure it has a chance to cool down.
 
I'm going to be making a video on Coconut Oil in a week or two here... Im expecting great results. Glad everyone is getting one!

Here I'll write a more formal guide on making a strainer with Cheese Cloth.

STRAINING

Most grocery stores will have cheese cloth hanging in there baking sections, if not Walmart or some other store like that will have it.

Now what you can do is get a nice big plastic container, that is tall but not insanely wide. Now layer the cheesecloth about 8 times (You can experiment with thickness).
Stretch the cheese cloth over the top of the container and use a rubber band or tape to hold it there.
Then you can simply poor in your goods! Once you pour it all, then simply grab it and squeeze it all out! This way is a lot faster, and a lot cleaner in my opinion. If you get a lot of particles just simply add a few layers to your cloth.

I'm hoping to try an alcohol tincture in it at some point. I've been told they are SAFE to make in the MB2 using ONLY the 160 degrees F setting, and put it in a well-ventilated area since inhaling alcohol fumes is unhealthy. The best I can get for high-proof is 151, unfortunately, as I have zero access to grain alcohol....But I'm sure the results will be quality. I've only used the freezer method for Green Dragon; I think I can do better with this thing!...

I tried doing an extract using 151 rum. I was prob doing it wrong because I had to throw it away.
