I just picked one of these up from my local shop on a hell of a deal! He said it should trump the light pattern of my 24x16 hood as this one is about 40"x30". Has anyone had any experience with this hood in the 6" or 8" flange? I would really like to hear if the extra reflector area helped with reduction of hot spots and increased light spread. Thanks!
 
Wow the light spread on this thing is GREAT! Covers a 4x4 area perfectly! It still has a hot spot at the bulb but the light spread is much better than the smaller hood
 
are you cooling it with something?! i have a 4x4 tent and cool tube from prima klima..does the job, but i think this kind of hoods has better cover and reflection.
