Is it necessary to supply IR and UV lamp strips separately?

I don't think so, I don't believe it is on my sp3000 light. Ny understanding is the UV light can help with trichome production since the plant uses them as a defense to the light and can increase overall potency. It should all come down to voltages which can be stepped up or down as needed in a circuit.
