Mars II - Bought brand new 2 lights broken?

pop you seem to be an expert as this.

I currently have 2 plants on a 3x3x6 tent. Bought this new Mars II 400 W and I have my 2x 125 6300K large CFL's & 3x 105W 2700K large cfl's.
Would it be smarter to add another 300W LED lights (i was thinking this one) --> http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6555773151.html?orderId=66355089584056
That way less heat (my large CFL increase the tent by almost 11 degrees.

Or is it enough 400W with the cfl's in order to have a nice yield? If I add the other LED will my yield increase or not do much at all?

Your feedback is much appreciated.

Thanks

Right now, I'm running a 300 watt Mars Hydro 300 watt "old style" light in a tent and its growing some reall nice bud right now! I think its really enough. However, I could see needing more light when growing a strain with dense foliage. Personally, I'd ditch the CFLs, they grow weak in a matter of months and put out heat you don't likely need. I'd say, if you want to run more light, then yes, ad a 300 watt LED, or maybe a couple of the Mars Hydro 48x3 Reflector Series, they look to be a great light for side lighting and micro grows.

my tent is slightly smaller than yours, but not much it measures: 32"x32"x60". Here's a pic I just took. there are 7 plants in there right now of various sizes.

Sorry mine is 23x32x64 my bad... I gave you the wrong measurements (i usually do cm >P)
I see instead of putting large Airpots like i did (i have 2x15L pots) 5 gal pots.
You have better results with several smaller pots? rather than growing 2 large babies or is that just because you picked a specific strain that works like this?
I'm currently growing Dutch Passion - AutoXtreme which is a very large plant , last grow it came to 27 inches height.....

I will consider your offer and ditch the CFL's in the future and upgrade to another LED light.

Hey Cyklos, please do not worry, they are the IR lights, which are invisible to human eyes. But the are working. :d5:
Hello,

I took everyone's advice and bought a Mars II 400W LED lamp.
Now i checked the lights and I have 2 LED's which are not working at all.... And I just bought the item... WTF?
Is it repairable? Don't we have 3 years warranty with mars-hydro?

Thank you everyone here for helping me answer all the questions.
For the warranty policy, we have 3 years' warranty if you order from our website or from our sales directly, 1 year from EB. If your lights have problem in the first year, we will help you indentify the problem and send free replacement part to you, then you can fix it. If there is a maintenance house in your country, you can ship the light there, we will cover the shipping cost for you. If the problems occur in the second and third year, we will also provide the replacement parts to you for free, but we will need to charge some shipping fee. Don't worry, won't be much. If there is a very serious problem and the light cannot be fixexd in the first year, we will figure out other ways to help you. Hope this is clear now. :d5:
Anymore question, you can post here or in my thread or PM me, I will get back to you ASAP.

I am now going to large pots. I've been growing in smaller pots as a learning tool as I'm new to organic growing, I wanted to try different size smaller pots. Easier to control problems with smaller pots IMO. Now that I feel confident about growing organically, I'm moving to l;arge pots, 3 to n5 gallon. I've even got one plant now in a 10 gallon tote that’s growing great!

Will ditch most cfl and keep maybe 1 or 2 on the side for flowering.

Thanks for the tips ;)

I am very relieved to hear this thanks for the quick answers.
I purchased it via. PaY Pal after chatting with a Mars Light rep... i hope I will get a 3 year warranty.
Did anyone ever encounter issues with LEDs? Will they ship a new product out if some of the LED's break in the future?

Thanks again

I had an issue with one of my Mars-Hydro lights and Mars-Hydro fixed the light at no cost to me. I did have to pay shipping which I was aware of before I purchased the light.

One of the LEDs burned out a year and a half into owning the light. The light continued to operate with one bulb burnt out. They offered to either send me an LED to replace the burned out bulb or to repair it at their repair center.

Hi Jackmc, it is our pleasure to help you. :d5: So you must be in US. :pighug: Too bad before we only have US repair centre. Now we are looking for repair centre for other countries, and we found one in Deutsch, :smoking: More and more will coming out soon I believe. :pass:
Any questions, please feel free to tell me
