Medi's Perpetual Organic Tent

Subbed the other day and have picked up some great info so far, thanks! Not quite caught up yet, decided to jump in when I saw the post re: medibles/crockpots in the sidebar.

Has anyone here tried using a crockpot inside a filtered grow area if releasing allergens or odor were a concern?

Also, are allergens even released if plant material is covered in a lipid, either in preparation or while cooking?

My line of thought is that moisture shouldn't be an issue if left covered, and iirc crockpots don't generate a lot of external heat; the base of CFLs seem hotter to me. The medicine gained would be worth some extra filter use to me.

Oh man, if I'd have known people would expect to learn something I would have been trying harder ;-) I'm not sure what if any allergens you'd find in unpollinated cannabis, but as far as aroma a well filtered room should contain the smell pretty well, not very much aroma escapes the crockpot anyway if you keep the lid on.

Blurp Day 40 of flower

Cheese Candy: Day 80

The Cheese Candy is still holding out on full maturity but I'm not in need of any meds right now so I'm keeping patient and giving her the maximum amount of time to mature up. The Blurp are coming along well, and despite the fact I've been giving them nothing but water for weeks I'm seeing some tip burn which I don't really understand I guess just time or the microbial life has suddenly made a bunch of nutrition available.

I wish I had more to say but growing has gone from being the center of my world to an extra duty I attend to a few times a week. Nothing to be done really I'm just super busy in the other aspects of my life and in need of a break I guess. Hopefully things start slowing down here soon and I can get back to enjoying our hobby. Hope you all are doing well and finding peaces in your lives.

Thanks brother Dazed! I think the haul I get from the Blurp will enough to hold me for quite a while if I need it to, but most likely I'll take a few weeks or a month off, get everything cleaned and reset and start right back up.

most often, alergies to plants are related to pollen, its the proteins in it that cause the reaction. If i was to use a crockpot covered ( I don't like crockpots, the heat is unregulated ) I'd be sure my plant matter was good and dry first or you'll cook the chlorophyll out into your oil. A fan by an open window would work as well to draw the vapors off if it were a problem. A crockpot in your grow area is an accident waiting to happen........

Blurp: Day 60 of flowering

It's been forever since I updated, I've since pulled down my cheese candy which never really tightened up too much and I am curing up to turn into butter for some medibles. All I have left at this point is the Blurp which is coming along nicely and finishing up, one pheno should be done in two weeks or so and the other is probably going to be done this weekend or shortly after. I'm going to throw up a few shots and call it a nice short post. Peace.

Flowering Day 70

I took the first of the Blurp(Bluebery X GDP) down yesterday at 70 days with give or take 5% amber. I took the Kushy pheno first which is the smallest of the three. The smell is a very potent coffee/earthy with an overwhelming Blueberry scent on the backend that filled the front half of my house during trimming.

The other two have been ramping up on the leaf eating for the last week or so and I suspect they'll be done around the 75 day mark which should be enough time to get the first one dried and jarred up. My overhead fan in the tent broke early in their lives and as a result of never getting around to replacing it I now have nearly every cola supported by rope to prevent their own weight from snapping the branches.

In other news I finally got my Magical Butter in this week, and went to The Vitamin Shoppe to pick up some lecithin to make some great medibles with the rest of my TD as well as all of my poor afterthought Cheese Candy. I'll make a post on how it all turns out, this will be my first time making medibles with lecithin and my first time using the MB2E so I'm hopeful I'll get some pretty potent cookies out of it.

That's about all I have going on right now, I'm hoping once my little zergling is born and settled(Soon TM) I can get back on track with all this stuff and become a more active part of the community, I've seriously fallen off in the last several months between work and home life and I miss belonging to be honest. Well, hope you all have a great weekend!!
