Mephisto Genetics Mephisto Fugue State

On the one hand, @richykn, I admire that you have stuck with her for 101 days so far and you are looking to go another three weeks or so with her. She looks absolutely amazing and there is nothing that’s going to stop you from a massive harvest...except a wicked case of carpal tunnel syndrome during the trim. Fantastic job!

On the other hand (and in a bit of hopeful selfishness) I’m comparing your grow with mine and I’m hoping that mine doesn’t go anywhere near as long. I am moving at the end of the year and I absolutely must be done within 90 days from sprout. So...whether she’s finished or not, she’s coming down at the 90 day mark. Now, this all assumes that I can come close to doing the job that you’ve done with yours. It also assumes that my Double Grape acts the same as your Fugue State. But still, I’m now worried about finishing in time.
I hope she finishes in time for you mate I can see why your worrying when you look at mine , I don't have the experience to say that growing this way makes every grow take this long , but looking at your plant compared to mine they look pretty different in terms of structure , I think yours is taller than mine was at the same point and the spaces between the nodes look bigger I think mine was more bushy also with more fatter indica looking leaves .

Hopefully this means they will go completely different in terms of lifecycle so she is ready before the move and also because I'm growing DG next and don't want to have to wait another 130 days although I will if that is the case

Day 104

Changed the Res last night for the last time as she's too big to lift in and out of the tent now , almost had a disaster ,when I took her out of the tent the weight of the plant pulled the net pot from the lid and she fell over !! :yoinks:

Managed to lift it back in place with a couple bent branches but none snapped lucky me .

So now I will be leaving her inside the tent and just topping up until she is done I'm hoping around the 120 day mark .

Here's a few pics

She looks amazing. Big and frosty.

If you continue to grow DWC, something to look into to prevent net pot slippage is a net pot lid that fits onto your bucket. They look like this:

They cost about $3.50 at my local hydroponics shop. You could probably order them online as well. They are a little more expensive than the standard net pot and lid, but the extra peace of mind is worth it. What I have is two buckets and one lid. I mix up a new reservoir in one bucket, set that bucket down beside the old one, pick up the plant, move the air stone to the new bucket and move the plant to the new bucket. There is no moving the plant in and out of the tent.

Good luck finishing her up, brother!

Thanks mate these look alot better at the end of my grow I will go to my local hydro shop and see if they have these and anything else that will be useful for the next grow , I don't have enough headspace to be able to lift the roots out of my Res inside the tent but I will definitely buy another bucket to have it all ready to go . Will you be continuing with dwc after the move ?

Actually, as it turns out, I might not be moving. I’m having a series of discussions with “she who must be obeyed,” and she doesn’t like the idea of moving right now. I might have bought another year without disturbance.

I may do something a little different for the next grow. I’m thinking several two liter bottle or solo cup hempy buckets in a SOG style grow to try to make a dent in my seed inventory. Mephisto keeps sending more than I order and I’m getting quite the stockpile. It’s really a first world problem to have. Then probably back to DWC after that. DWC is definitely a great way to grow monster plants.

Great news looks like you won't have to worry about finishing in time now I bet that's a weight off your shoulders .

I like the idea of using your free beans in solo cups or small airpots I might try that out after I'm a few grows in and it means come harvest your gonna have a nice bud buffet .

I can get an ounce and a half to two ounces out of a two liter bottle, an ounce out of a 1 liter bottle and half an ounce out of a solo cup. The question is how many do I want to do at one time. Right now, 6 to 8 solo cups sounds fun, but it could also be a real pain if each strain has different nutrient needs. I’m probably leaning towards 4 one liter bottles or 3 two liter bottles.
