Mephisto Genetics Mephisto Genetics Micro Grow.

Air flow, air flow, air flow, air flow. Keep the dry area well ventilated. Air flow not directly on the sites, but enough to feel like a very, very light breeze. A humidifier to keep the room @ 50% RH is not necessary unless it's very dry outside. The room area needs to be dark, although some say it doesn't need to be. Keep the room dark anyway. A whole cannabis plant chopped at the base and hung will take 5-7 days to dry enough to paper bag finish. Remember that the buds may feel dry, but they are not dry enough to jar. Get a cheap RH meter and gauge the RH of the buds in the paper bag. The paper bag will slowly finish dry the buds; do to it's not air tight. If we dry directly in the paper bag. We risk the case of mold due to no air flow as per mentioned to me by Chester many dries ago. I took his advise and kept them out of the final finish until they were ready.

I'll sum this up. (This is my method, it's not to be the best method, it works well for me)

A. Trim the fan leaves, if any left, off the stems.
B. Lightly trim sugar leaves.
C. Cut the plant from the base whole.
D. Hang up the whole plant and wait at least 5 days. In a well ventilated dark room.
E. Check the dryness by bending the stems. You will feel a slight klink in the stem. Stems are hollow and
you'll fell it give. That awful need to practice will be a benefit.
F. Paper bag for the last part of the dryness until the moisture in the paper bag is 65% RH or till the stems
do snap.
G. Fill glass jars lightly with the dried buds. Cap and KEEP IN A DARK COOL PLACE.
F. First week, burp the jars. Open the jars and gently shake the buds and keep open for 15 min minimum. Do this every
day w/o fail.
G. Second week, burp jars every so often. This is easy, because you'll dig in for your stash daily and by then if all went well
you'll now have your way on to some nice smoke/vape.
H. Keep stored jars in a DARK COOL SPACE.
J. Enjoy and keep growing and learning.

I think the added sugar leaves on the buds adds to the effect of what I like in the end result. Why cut them off if they are frosty and loaded with trichomes.

Love that quote from Muddy. I like pretty sugar leaves, but I do snip the leaf tips if they ain't got no sugar.
No sugar, no go.

Do you think the humidity of the bud makes a difference for vaping?
For example if the bud has been cured for a while could we drop the humidity....
So the Vape machine has less water to cook off?
Quicker Trichome vapor, closer to resin?

If I need to use the MFLB:mflb:then the bud needs to dry. At least that's what the makers recommend.
My primary vape is the "Old Tried and True" Iolite. The Iolite is perfect for what I need. It will vape fresh bud very well and I do like the hissing sound it makes.:hump: For me the jar cured bud is at 62% most of the time. I personal don't like too dried bud to vape. :nono:

I try to keep the buds at 62% in the jars. Once they get to 65% I'll keep them air tight and open when I need to.:baked: That's kept the buds at 62% for some time. No need to drop RH. They will do that naturally. Well cured bud will keep moist/dry for a long time if done correctly.

The vape sessions with the Iolite can last 30 minutes. I'll get the total cannabis experience. The fruity flavor the THC and the other goodies as the vape goes on.:baby: In fact I've been Iolite vapeing from the start of this post.:cools:

Put the 2700K CFLs in last night. I ordered four 42w 2700K from the company that has a thousand in their name. That should give the girls 368 watts of FLOWER light. Still giving them VEG nutrients every third "watering". The lower side branches are getting longer due to the LST work. I'll be able to pull them down and fill in the open space. They will explode in growth the next weeks. Will start watering every two days instead of the three days in early VEG. Now the fun and excitement starts. :cools:
