Mephisto Genetics Mephisto Genetics Steel City Blues & Sour Crack [NuteBurn]

My parents used to be the same, best thing is just to educate her about it. Pretty much everyone knows these days that its on the path to legalization in most areas, or has been legalized already. Dont try to argue with her about it yourself, send her links to news articles about it, documentaries, etc. After she watches them, then asker her what she thought, eventually she will come around...

Cheers bro, I've tried to educate her on it but she just won't listen. She can't even bring herself to say the word 'Cannabis' yes it's that bad... I'm not going to stop smoking just because my mother won't listen to the facts and change her opinion on canna. I know that i'm right and she's wrong about it so she will just have to deal with it. As you say mate, everyone and their dog knows that it's harmless these days. My mum just chooses to cling onto old, inaccurate views on the subject. Her loss.

Keep the faith bro my mother has suddenly allowed me to grow it in the house and i thought i was hearing things when she said so cause she's always hated it and been totaly against it. She ended up finding the last plant i did in my closet lol. Maybe she liked it more than she thought! :P

Unfortunately it can take several generations to change people's opinions,
or it is an issue people can be very stubborn about..

in our little bubble it's easy to think everyone is pro canna, but then you meet someone that's anti 'drugs' and its a sharp reminder.

but in every generation I come across people that a) don't care/happy to see the brightside, b) it's not for them but Open minded c) anti

it could be the 'drug' label, and the illegal status - going hand in hand I guess that are mental roadblocks for people.

i wonder if full legalisation would instantly change some people overnight

don't let it get you down anyway, just find different topics for dinner talk.. For the moment :)

Yeah, don't lose hope, Nute :) My mom-79 yrs, in January- was the same way as yours.. for DECADES! She is now using some tinctures for her pain, and skin issues! It was Sanjay Gupta that was her tipping point.
We were at her place on Christmas Eve, and I had given her some canna-oil for some skin lesions. The ones she put it on (she's a right scientist, only did a couple to see if it worked... lolol) The lesions she medicated....were GONE! GONE! She asked for more......

Thanks for the kind words and advice guys, really appreciate it, feeling a little lost at the moment! I'm not going to press her to get her to come around to the idea, but i'm sure one day she will. Hope so anyway! It sounds like some people can be turned, and i'm so glad that your dear old mum's lesions have responded well to the oil you gave her, Waxi! That is the true definition of being a 'care-giver'!

Ah well, onwards and upwards I suppose!

Peace

When I was living with my parents still (7 years ago), they were only against me consuming it because of the legal reasons, didn't want me to lose my future before I was there, which makes sense. They both said they'd rather see me smoke 10 joints than drink 10 beers haha, but I was also diagnosed with juvenile type 1 diabetes when I was a freshman in high school and alcohol and diabetes isn't the best mix - why I became more of a recreational user . They both were casual smokers when they were in college / young adults but gave it up for careers.

They do know I still smoke but probably not that I do it on the daily, and they definitely would not be too happy if they peaked into my spare closet, only for legal reasons though. I'm just tired of people saying to stand up what you believe in - then it's against the norm people say what you're doing is wrong or even stupid.

Sorry for the rant NuteBurn I truly hope you and your mother find some common ground on the issue, karma for you brother.

Thanks man, I really hope things turn out alright. I think it's a combination of the legality issue and also the 'drug' label as Mephisto Mitch/Tim pointed out above. I need to lock her in a room and make her watch The Culture High from start to finish!!

There was a CNN special not to long ago that was pretty informative. Their Doctor Sanjay Gupta had changed a lot of his views on cannabis for its many medical benefits. I think it was 2 parts. But I agree with Mitch"s advice.

Those videos, and a copy of Jack Herer's The Emperor Wears No Clothes, will sway most reasonable, Reefer Madness types...
