I was a bit heavy handed on the earthworm castings so that is completely possible. I noticed that myself and was hoping someone more knowledgeable than I could pinpoint what caused it. My Sour Crack did the same and still finished like a champ so I'm not too concerned, but would rather identify the cause for future reference.

When that happened to my Dark Devil, I think it was a cumulative effect of Equilibrium Cal/Mag (1-1-2) and veg nutes. I switched to GO CaMg+ (0-0-0) and eased up on the Grow Big and it receded.
