Marijuana plants love direct sunlight at most any time, but it is said that the plants respond particularly well to early morning sunlight.

During my current potted guerrilla-grow, which I only get out to in the wild about every other day, there are two locations (within 40 feet from one another) that offer a (reasonably) great amount of sunlight throughout most of the day...

Location One, which is where I have them currently, offers an extra hour or more of early morning sunlight than Location Two does.

Location Two, however, offers probably an extra hour and a half of late afternoon sunlight than Location One does.

Since these are late-season Autoflowers, I believe every little minute of high-quality direct sunlight will help my little girls out, and so I wonder what the opinions are
amongst the Outdoor Canna-Community.

Would my plants get more benefit from early morning light than they would late afternoon light?

The area I'm currently keeping the plants offers an extra hour (maybe more) of direct morning sunlight, but a little bit less daylight overall, dig?

You know what. I have absolutely no idea. But you are in the perfect position to answer your own question in the fullness of time. Then you can let us all know which, if any, is the better situation.
I would love to know how it all turns out.
Keep in touch,

eP.

Will do! Thanks for piping in (no pun intended). I'm filming my entire process and am editing together a little video series of Autoflowering From Late-Summer Through Early-Autumn (working title), and am looking forward to offering it up to the community...

If direct lighting is about equivilent, I would prefer morning light. I live in a humid environment and want any morning dew dry ASAP.

nothing scientific about my theory, and shes probably wrong (shes wrong all the time) but...my mother says that the afternoon sunshine is the best for plants

i tend to agree because my plants always follow the sun down but they never follow the sun up

hope that makes sense lol

One advantage on early morning sun is it dries the plants out early, better for fighting mould i think? But sayin that sunset light has loads of colours in it maybe that helps with flowering!
Looking foreward to the vid

That's a good question so I took a look around the web at some garden sites. The general consensus seems to be that afternoon sun is better for fruiting plants, of which MJ is one, because of the increased intensity of afternoon sun light. Leafy plants prefer the cooler temperatures and less intensity of morning sun.
