New Grower My First Grow Journal!

The orange tape on the pots is something I started doing a couple grows back.. It tells me which way to turn the plant.. I like to turn them a half turn every day to expose the entire plant to the direct light evenly.. When you get to moving things around and watering, it's easy to forget where they were. So it's simple.. on even days of the month the tape faces the door, on odd days it faces the back.

Another question for you guys... I understand that autos are more sensitive to nutes especially as seedlings, but what about when they are in full blown flowering mode? I mean, can I give these girls the normal FF nutes I would give a photo plant of similar size? I normally use the Beastie Bloomz and Cha Ching with photos, but they are very strong.. I will experiment.. I just wondered if they "grew out" of their low nute requirements..

Thanks guys, and as always, smoke on

RE Nute Concentrations: Current wisdom (strain specific) is generally no. There have been particular strains where the grower has said, "It keeps taking nutes and asking for more" but that seems rare and perhaps due to accompanying circumstances of the medium or set-up. It seems to be the case that although you can carefully work-up from 1/4 strength to larger dosages, they begin to exhibit the peak of their tolerance prior to reaching "full concentration" dosages and stay there. (All research based, not experiential) There are some nutes somewhere, that are Auto specific so therefore don't apply to this model.

With regard to those "Late Mega NPK" Bloom nutes...I think if the plant is close, why not try it out? I've been tempted...

My 2 cents

Thanks for the info Trapper.. yeah, I plan on pushing these girls to the max so I will see how things go and make sure I document amounts used throughout this process! I usually feed all the same nutes while the plants are young, but as they get older I tailor the nutes around the plant.. obviously a bigger plant will use more, and I'm expecting these ladies to all start flowering at different times and be different sizes so it's going to be kinda sketchy for awhile! Got a big bottle of Sledgehammer flush just in case haha
