Nice line-up! If everything makes it to harvest, you're going to have quite a selection

Is there anyway to switch up your light timing so you're off at the hottest part of the day? Or will that mess with something else?

These autos aren't as sensitive to switching up their cycle. Right now, I'm off from 4PM to 6PM when the house is hottest.

Sidenote: I've seen reports of that +Speed finishing really fast...like 50 days.

Thanks man! Yeah I can run the lights whenever so right now they are off from 1-5.. as we get into summer and these ladies mature, I can certainly see dropping to like 12-6 or maybe even longer those last few weeks..

Man I sure hope that Speed gets done quick! I know I'm going to need the space in the room so that would be perfect.. also hoping the Skunk finishes in the "advertised" 50 days. I added those two specifically because they're supposed to be fast finishers, if I can get them harvested and out, I'm down to five.

Day 12

So last night I gave them each a little water around the stem, and a couple inches diameter around it.. maybe three or four ounces. My temps are running about 80 with the light on 100% so the soil is finally starting to dry a little, hoping those roots are spreading out looking for water in there! Tonight I gave each lady 28 ounces of water, slowly pouring 10 oz each, followed each with another 10, followed by the 8.. all the way around the pots. No runoff but when I poked my finger in a bottom drain hole the soil felt moist so I left it at 28. Still no nutes given, no sign of burning with the Ocean Forest yet so keeping my fingers crossed.

So I never gave much thought to humidity in my grow area.. After spending way too much time on this site, I realized I should be monitoring it so I picked up a gauge a couple days ago. I assumed the moisture would be high since the grow is in my basement, stays cool, and we've had rain the past few days. I was wrong, humidity at 42%. Wow, that really surprised me, I want to be like 60%, maybe even 70! Hoping I haven't slowed down/stressed my ladies too bad, they seem ok, just glad I caught it when I did.

After getting the RH gauge, I decided to water and see how much the humidity increased.. it quickly rose to 53% in the room. I'm guessing the soil wasn't holding as much moisture as I originally thought. Within a few hours it was back down to like 46%. Placed a few containers of water in the room to help keep the moisture up.

After obsessing over this issue for many hours and many bowls, I decided to give them more water. Remember I haven't given much water throughout the grow but the soil was flushed day before planting. As I posted above, I gave them each 28 ounces (I water from a small spray bottle when they are small and it has measurements on the side) already with no run off. Gave them each 10 more ounces.. soaked up.. another 10.. soaked up.. another 10.. finally a little run off but hardly any. Holy shit, I had no idea the soil would take that much water! This second watering was about six hours after the first. So each girl took 58 oz of water with almost no run off. Yikes, might want to water them a little more often! Three gallon pots..

Hopefully with better RH control and more water they will take off! I hope my time frames don't confuse you guys.. I'm working third shift right now so my sleep hours are all jacked up. I switch between sleeping during the day and night so I get screwed up on what day it is sometimes Haha. Super Lemon Haze doesn't help..

As you can see, watering does not help much against low humidity of air. Do not water any more for some period. It helps only if closet is very small, but then there is very hot inside if you want to keep moisture.

Little plants have troubles with providing enough building material for growth, because their root system has not been developed yet. If dry around, they have additional task and that is providing water, that evaporates through leaves because of low humidity.

If they look good as you say (I do not see big picture), you have almost gone through the heaviest part, because seedlings in first week or two are the most sensitive.

You can help them with humidifier or spraying only surface of soil with little water, or spray plants when they rest and dry them before running lights. Be carefull about big water drops on leaves, if you do that, because they might create lens to burn a part of leaf.

Generally, do not let your solutions become your problems. I am writng that to you, because I had done a lot of damage in the times, when I had been fighting against dry air with wattering.

Thanks for the kind words Gonzo! I appreciate the advice.. went and picked up a small humidifier to try and get the numbers up. Just plugged it in a little bit ago, will let ya know what happens. I never worried about my photos like I have these autos! I'm enjoying the ride so far and can see the benefit over photo grows so we shall see what happens in the future..

Gonzo, you were spot on with what you said about humidity and temps in a small space. My grow "closet" is four foot by four foot enclosed area in a bedroom, with the door closed to the grow room, the temps rise to around 86 and the RH jumped to 62%! I try to keep the grow door opened when the light is on to get better air flow and to keep the temp down. I have a window in the bedroom open at night for fresh air and a central air duct that goes into the actual grow area.

I've had problems over watering in the past so I'm real cautious about water now. I tend to under water usually, like in this case, just wish I would've been giving the girls some more air moisture. It will be at least a week I'm guessing before they get any more. They will be three weeks old and will probably give them a half dose of Microbrew and Kangaroots at that time. We will see how they are doing, maybe introduce some nutes..
