Indoor My first real grow. Nirvanas' auto fem northern lights.

So as I sit here reading other people's posts I have noticed that a lot of people have both 2700 and 5000+. I only have 5000k+ lights right now on my plants. What is the benefit of both and should I do both?

My droopy plant is looking better as the water starts to evaporate and the roots get o2.

I still need to paint the inside now that my exhaust fan is hooked of and clearing the air.

Day 2

image.jpgDay 4. Not much of a change, although I can see the next set of leaves coming in.

the difference between 27k and 50k is the spectrum of light it uses. Lighting at 2700k is ideal for flowering and 6500k is ideal for vegging so mixing them is good, i try and have a full spectrum but depending on the cycle have a majority of one to the other. So since your about to start vegging after you seedlings grow, your going to want to have more cfls w/65k

I have 12 that are 5000K and 5 that are 6500K. Will the 5000K still work?

I just received my exhaust fan. It is 100 cfm. I figured my box is less than 20 ft3.

Is that a good fan speed?/QUOTE]

Your box is 27.5*27.5*55. That is 2.29'x2.29'x4.58' which is 24 cubic feet. Your exhaust fan is rated at moving 100 cubic feet of air per minute. You don't make mention of an intake fan, so I will go on the premise that you are going with passive intake; exhaust fan 'pulling' air through an opening, preferably near the bottom of your box. If the passive opening is the same size or larger than your exhaust port, your fan should be operating at its maximum efficiency. Will it be enough? Other factors will play into that, like ambient room temperature, so bottom line, we gotta just experiment, be prepared for change... and go with the flow! :peace:

Passive air intake is correct. Plenty of size. Ambient room temp is 65 degrees year round. Plants are looking good so hopefully they grow big and produce well.

Day 8 they are getting bigger. I for some reason expected them to be much bigger by now. Oh well it's not a rush.

Anyone know if there is a chart that has day by day pics of a plant from start to finish?
