My funky, skunky male. 6-7" tall today...this pic is from yesterday.
My new seedling. Not sure if I pulled off the cotyledon leaves or this one is a freak, but when I went to check on it the next day, it had no cotyledon leaves! I see the start of serrated leaves on the stem. I've had this happen with KC Brains Northern Lights way back in 1996. They did nothing for a few weeks (outdoors, and cool temps) and then once they had leaves, grew like nobody's business.
My female. Around 5.5" today, and around 6" wide. All the six nodes are within 1.5" of the cotyledons! Some LED bleaching. I underestimated the power of a 12W LED grow light and had it right up on the plant. Bad idea.
This seedling is twelve days old. It's second leaf set is out and starting to grow, and it's just getting started on the third one. I noticed a little nute burn on it today after hitting them with some tea that was perhaps a little too concentrated. Since the pots are wet, I poured the tea on the other side of the pot from the plants with the hope of the nutrients dispersing through the soil. Looks like I'm going to have to water this one.
pH and soil that is just right (aeration, not too moist and not too dry) seems crucial for autos. Photos don't like those issues either, of course. I'm making beginner mistakes, but hey, it's been six years since my last grow!
I put my fifth seed in a small cup with hopes of potting up. It's in a seedling mix that is very light and fine, but appears to be perlite-free! I also watered conservatively, put the seed in, covered it over lightly and then misted it. That's always been the best method of germing seeds for me.
