Indoor My Jet-47 Grow

Aside from some pH issues (too high thanks to my tap water) and fungus gnats, which lead to me hitting the soil with hydrogen peroxide and then feeding with pH adjusted water they're doing pretty well! 11 days old (the first two) and started on their third leaf sets. I started a third Jet-47. 100% germ rate so far (Thanks Stitch)!

They're growing well and getting some much needed air. The pots have been too wet for the entire time so far because of my H2O2 and pH adjustment. I had to help the seed coat off the third one in a big way, but it's doing fine now. :) I think the seed coat dried out too fast because I had a fan blowing on the germing seedling indirectly to keep damping off at bay.

Started a fourth plant a few days ago...still 100% germ rate. :) The fourth was just getting started with removing its seed coat. I gave it a squirt to help moisten the seed coat, and then switched on the 400W HPS. In 10 minutes the coat was off and the cotyledons were photosynthesizing! Holy smokes! I helped remove the seed coat and it absolutely basked in the light. Its first little serrated leaves were already out too.

I have a confirmed male that is nice and vigorous, despite the soggy soil, and a confirmed female as of today. They are both very dense little plants. The female is 4-5" tall and all of its six nodes are within 1" of the cotyledons! It's 23 days old today.

I will make a few seeds with the male, and then remove him. So far so good with the Jet-47. :toke:

My funky, skunky male. 6-7" tall today...this pic is from yesterday.

My new seedling. Not sure if I pulled off the cotyledon leaves or this one is a freak, but when I went to check on it the next day, it had no cotyledon leaves! I see the start of serrated leaves on the stem. I've had this happen with KC Brains Northern Lights way back in 1996. They did nothing for a few weeks (outdoors, and cool temps) and then once they had leaves, grew like nobody's business.

My female. Around 5.5" today, and around 6" wide. All the six nodes are within 1.5" of the cotyledons! Some LED bleaching. I underestimated the power of a 12W LED grow light and had it right up on the plant. Bad idea.

This seedling is twelve days old. It's second leaf set is out and starting to grow, and it's just getting started on the third one. I noticed a little nute burn on it today after hitting them with some tea that was perhaps a little too concentrated. Since the pots are wet, I poured the tea on the other side of the pot from the plants with the hope of the nutrients dispersing through the soil. Looks like I'm going to have to water this one. :(

pH and soil that is just right (aeration, not too moist and not too dry) seems crucial for autos. Photos don't like those issues either, of course. I'm making beginner mistakes, but hey, it's been six years since my last grow!

I put my fifth seed in a small cup with hopes of potting up. It's in a seedling mix that is very light and fine, but appears to be perlite-free! I also watered conservatively, put the seed in, covered it over lightly and then misted it. That's always been the best method of germing seeds for me.

Nope, just more seeds for future runs. I'm going to a feminized photo next. That male has stretched 3" in 3 days! The female has grown 1.5" and is really getting branchy and she's putting out lots of pistils. Seems they've hit a growth spurt. The female's only had pistils for three days!
