Grow Room My noob Micro AutoGrow: Bubble,Ogre,Grape Muerto & WhiteWidow

I would like to make one comment, it looks like you are growing in potting mix or soil but you said you have no drainage holes in your pots. If this is correct, then i would suggest that this could be a large contributing factor to your plants health. I know nothing about hydroponics but i know plenty about growing in pots with potting mix and drainage is extremely important. Without suitable drainage your plants roots will not get sufficient oxygen and will drown in the water that pools in the container. They will also have other problems caused because nutrients are not able to be flushed free from your potting mixture and the salts will build up in the pot and become toxic. Try making 5-6 holes in the outer bottom edge in your pot and one in the centre and then give it a good water to flush. You can also raise the base of your container slightly above floor level with a few pebbles or something similar under the pot once you have created the holes to make it drain better again. Just my 2 cents worth...................good luck.

Thanks a lot Jessica, info much appreciated! I will drill everything in my growbox :D
In these days i've flushed a little with ph corrected water and this seems to be good to the plants. Hope that the Ogre will begin to grow again...it has been stunted for at least 10 days.
Pics coming in a few days!

Micro, just to explain this a little further. If you have a close look at the bottom inside of any plastic commercial nursery pot you will notice that the bottom centre of the pot is slightly raised and it falls away from this raised point to the outer inside edges and so the water can escape out the drainage holes in this location. This is a deliberate design feature to prevent the water ponding in the centre of the bottom of the pot and to provide suitable drainage. I think those drainage holes will solve 99% of your problems.

Just be mindful that when they have good drainage they dry out quicker and will likely need more frequent watering but judge that by the moisture level in your pots.

Now all the "pots" have at least a couple of holes to prevent water stagnation.
I have a few questions:
1) why my plants are so tiny? i have a Withe Widow that has 7-8 internodes, good growth, but really no side branching and the leaves are small...the plant looks healthy. now i have topped her, and was thinking of supercropping to promote side growth.
2) i use two 85w daylight (6400 k) and notice that the pants are veeery tight, really the Ogre has a lot of tiny blossoms but no space between them...i'm afraid of mold or simply, that there is no ideal light penetration between the dense foliage. Could be good to switch one of the two lamps for a warmer light?
Thank you!

You made early mistakes with environment, soil, drainage and light.

now i have topped her,
That was almost definitely a bad idea. - I'd leave the aggressive training techniques to the pros with autos

and was thinking of supercropping to promote side growth.
As above.

Cfls? the little ones? I'd check your actual wattages (not equivalent as sometimes stated on cfls) .. you might only have 30(ish)watts in total

Could be good to switch one of the two lamps for a warmer light?
Sure! a mixed spectrum will work well

i'm afraid of mold
Keep your humidity below 70% and you should be fine (lower would be better)

Hope some of this helped a little!

Hi Blue ^_^ i forgot to mention that the WW is a photo, not an auto!
I'm vegging it until i have the 24/0 schedule for the autos, when they are done, i'll put her to flower (and transplant in a bigger pot)
The CFL's are two big ones (the seller said that they equal to 400w) and indeed they make a lot of light.
I'll add a bigger fan to the room to lower temp and humidity.
Cheers!

The seller lied.
Even if you add up those 2 85 watt bulbs - you get 170w of CFL. I'm no lighting expert .. but my basic maths is pretty awesome ^_^

that the WW is a photo
Ahh, chop away then! :)

Good luck with the grow!
:High 5:

Ahaha yes, i have to agree with your math experience :D I'll add pics later, so you can see how is going :)
