my nutrient project

I just check it out and I will be trying it ASAP. I saw a similar recipe that works indoors. It just uses worm castings and oats. It also only take a few days as opposed to a year.
Yours seems better but this seems good also.

I have a question about re-using soil. When I flush it to wash out old nutrients can I use water straight from the tap and wait a few days to mix my amendments? Will the chlorine evaporate from the soil or should I let the water sit out for 24 hours first?

Thanks nam.

What do you guys use for cal phos? I was thinking eggshell, seashell, and deer antler...

cal/mag is used by most growers. You can get it at a grow store or on line.Egg shells, seashells are ok but they take forever to work.Phosphorous will be in your bloom nutes and is very important for plant health and is the main ingredient for promoting large and healthy buds.

I'm trying to use this recipe for cal/phos.. I think it works fast

1. Collect a bunch of eggshells and wash to remove inside filaments. Remember, you can also use bones and other good sources of calcium like seashells, clams and oysters, etc. Likewise, if you only want calcium, even limestone can be used, or simple lime.
2. Pan fry the eggshells. Fry until some are brown/black, some white. The burnt shells are your Calcium source while the white are the Phosphorus source.
3. After roasting the eggshells, grind them up. You can do it manually, with a mortar and pestle, throw them in a blender or electric coffee grinder, etc.
4. Add them to a jar and add 5 parts vinegar by volume. For example, if you have 1 cup ground shells, add 5 cups vinegar. The acid in the vinegar helps digest them. You will notice bubbling as this process converts the ingredients to liquid calcium phosphate.
5. Wait until tiny bubbles disappear
6. Seal the jar and ferment for 20 days.
7. Filter into another jar
8. Now you’ve made your own Calcium Phosphate

Oh and one more question... Is it safe to use my leftover cubensis mushroom (Penis Envy) myc in my compost?

Yeah. Hear Alo say they Adore Mushroom Compost bht id Let it cook Like all Super Soils....

Have u used the CalPhos...

I made Both One With Egg shells and One With Oyster Shells ...Im Gonna Make some when IGet my New Oyster shell Flour Order....
The Oyster shell worksBetter for Nightshades ...The Eggshell for Flowwers and Beans ..smaller Veggies too ..Makes Marigolds Pop like crazy

I haven't made any calphos yet. I'm thinking about combining eggshells, sheashells, and antler to use in the recipe. That way I get a nice combo of each source.

Did you see post #11? What do you think about that?
