Well I was home alone last night and decided to study up on root systems and came across this , [ Mycorrhizal Fungi ] Has anyone used it , it seems to me it would be great for autos---- .The powder comes in a particle size of 250 microns or less. This concentrated, fine material works for spray or seed coating APPLICATIONS. The goal is to place the spores together or in close CONTACT to the plant roots. The Mycorrhiza expands into the surrounding soil to greatly increase the roots ability to absorb and recycle water and nutrients, thus improving germination, transplant success, flowering and plant health. This efficiency gain typically allows a reduction or 1/3 to 1/2 of traditional fertiliser inputs. root1.png

A lot of growers including myself use it.Some soil mixes already contain it but you can add it to any mix you choose,It is something every one should use and it will give your roots a huge benefit.I think we have some threads on it just check our home page and you should find out more info.

sounds like interesting do you have a link to a source.I would like to try this. would this be good for starting clones?alone or in conjunction with a cloning compound? what plant food would you recommend using with this?

Every grow store carries it or go online and you will find it.

IMHO I wouldnt listen to that reduction in nutes parts, I have a Blue Dream now (all my plants) that got it every Nute feed to help breakdown the other nutes and make it more available to the plants and My Blue Dream Auto was at 3/4 strength or full strength depending on nute by week 6 (4-5w veg time) from seed with no burn and 2/3rd of a gal per feed(dont use this as a guide tho, what worked for me is subj. to my setup) . But it for sure works and you'll notice you'll have to feed them more frequently from the massive roots sucking up everything, I know my 5 gal pots I can only pull back about 1/2in of topsoil, before I start touching roots!

Otherwise it is something I would consider a must have in your grower armorer and make sure it has mycorrhizae AND Trichoderma, just if you add it via water make sure you do it 24-48hours in advance and leave it at room temp to 80*F in the dark, because most companies sell them in a dormant state and need some wake up time and to reproduce and break down other things for the plants."My 2 cents" Adding molasses will help them out and boost their effectiveness (molasses and sugars are their primary food source)

Good luck mate!

Mychorrhizae rocks, beneficial fungi that supplies the plant with otherwise difficult to obtain nutrients and the plant supplies sugars which the fungus can't create due to not being able to photosynthesize. The fungus creates what is essentially a secondary root system which can also supply the plant with water as well.
Youtube has some excellent video's on the subject.
