Stanford was wearing Oregon out... pounding them with the ground game, and the defense kept Mariota running for his life. Stanford is up 26-0 with 8 min left in the 4th.

Oregon has a drive and scores. They kick onsides, Stanford recovers. Oregon holds Stanford and Stanford punts... Oregon blocks the punt and runs it in for a TD... now, it's 26-14. Oregon kicks onsides, and gets the ball. They drive down the field and score a TD... they go for two and fail... score 26-20... 2:15 left. Oregon kicks onsides again... Stanford recovers... runs the clock out. Final 26-20

Bama or LSU either one would pound Oregon into the ground, based on what I saw last night. Stanford is good... but, I didn't see SEC size or speed.

Stanford never played D like that before. there's no secret to Oregon. You just have to slow them down. we did it in the Rose Bowl few years back... but that probably doesn't count to an SEC fan...

I hope this year we get a chance to beat a 'real team'.
