New Grower Nearly at week 6 and no preflowers??

Yeh I know what ya saying I've got the same thing with leaves aswel some of lower ones look deformed, from all I've read about autos it seems their very unpredictable, with my photo northern lights there always bang on 9 weeks in flower always no exceptions, I think the key to a good plant is uniformity they you can plan grows, these autos are just messin all my and up cos there's no definitive answer to how they will grow, I think I'm gunna try an find out what's the most reliable strain and breeder

Well after a lot of research and hours trawling through various threads and also other gardening and horticultural sites I think I've found the answer to why my plants are slow in flowering, and it is down to the nitrogen keeping them back from flowering kinda seem simple now I think about it as plants don't need as much N in flower so by feeding them high doses of it would obviously hold them back!! Well that's what I think does anyone want to tell me I'm wrong?

Figured out that all my problems where down to an uncalibrated ph pen!! Now that's in check they have picked up and look as they should,, luckily I am stage cropping so the olderones have taken more of a beating where as the younger ones should recover,, that being said the oldest northern lights is looking good, at week 7ish now and I reckon she's got around an oz on her now so should finish with around 2+oz, with all that drama I'm really proud of her!! I know ghs gets a lot of stick but I've never had nothing but amazing seeds and expierences

Little trooper

Well done mate, a dodgy PH pen is one of those things that'll mess you about something awful, had it too in the past, I now use that PH 4 & 7 buffer to make sure my pen is spot on.
What you said about excess nitrogen makes some sense too, if flower nutes can stop vegetative growth I see no reason why veg nutes couldnt stop flowering.
At least you are up and running again.

Yeh to me it seems very plausible that N would do that would like maybe an expert to give their opinion?? Thank mate I knew it was something stupid I was doing!! Back in love with them now haha

Your girl looks real heathy, but if she hasn't shown sex at that age, male or female, it might be a photo and needs to have a 12/12 light schedule to show sex.

Everything has shown sex now namvet, I couldn't swap to 12/12 as I'm stage cropping and would mess rest of them up, u got an input on my theory of Excessive N holding flowering back??

Both plants are the same age 9 weeks, the nl has fattened up nicely and has around 3oz when chopped I'd guess considering all I've done is abuse em she's done ok,, the somango well you can see the pics!! It's like a bush compared to nl had to tie her down
