Need a Diagnosis Please!

Problem: lots of yellowing/bleaching/blotchy looking leaves

Medium/grow method: soil (pro mix premium organic moisture mix)

Feed: and supplements used: sensi grow/bloom A&B ,cal/mag

water source: Tap Water phd 6.5

Strain/age: Afghan Kush Ryder Auto

light used:Vipar SPectra 300 watt (136 actual watts)

Climate: 75f temp, Rh 50%

Additional info: Okay So ive been having an issue with my leaves going pale green and starting to yellow out, even newer growth is showing this on young leaves. i have previously been feeding 1/4 strength sensi a and b mix. 1ml/litre i flushed plant let dry out and just now gave it a watering of sensi grow mix at .5ml /litre as well as a dose of sensi grow at .5ml/litre and i also gave a 1ml/litre dose of cal/mag. im hoping this will help but i really am not sure for certian what the problem is, i had been thinking it was perhaps light burn my light was originally 20 inches above canopy and i raised it to 23 inches 3 days ago, but new growth is still showing signs of yellowing out. ive also been noticing a few very small brownish specs on some of the yellowing leaves. this is only my second grow so i dont have much experience diagnosing problems and they all seem to look a like to me, when it comes to yellowing. i dont think its a nitrogen defieciency since its not effecting all leaves or starting at the very botom of plant. this is also first grow with this different brand soil. any help would be greatly appreciated as its gotten worse over the past few days. also noticing some tip burn on the leaves which is making me scared to feed stronger nutes.

ugh to me it looks like ti could be so many of those things,lol. whats puzzling me most is even my young newer growth looks kind of okay color wise yet the tips are still yellowing out on them, i thought tip burn was a sign of to much nutrients

If you’re growing in Promix your pH is too high. I don’t know that 6.5 would necessarily harm it, but over time keeping it there during a feed would have it much closer to 7 more often than not. Do you have a nice soil pH meter?

Promix should be fed at a pH of 5.8-6.2. Many people prefer lower and let it creep up higher as it dries up.

ive always phd my water prior to feeding at 6.5 and i tested my runoff last watering and it was sitting at roughly 6.2 to 6.3
im a little confused i was under the impression that when growing in soil you want a ph between 6 and 7, and hydro is less then that
and i made a mistake my mix is pro mix premium organic moisture mix, ingredients say canadian sphagnum peat moss,peat humus, coco fibre,perlite, limestone, oprganic fertilizer and mycorrhizae.
is this not considered a soil grow???

and sadly no i dont have any actual soil ph meter, i have just been testing the ph of my water runoff. and your right im an idiot,lol. i iddnt realize that i was using a soiless mix. when ever i read soiless growing in regards to cannabis i always assumined they meant hydro or coco only, i just figured any bag of potting mix was all potting soil. so if its a nutrient lockout im facing then, now i have to learn how to fix it. and to think i just flushed my plant with like ph7 water a few days ago and just watered again today woth 6.5 ph water and nutes thinking i was bang on where i wanted my ph to be!

Not really, that is more of a mix that would work better with a hydro nute and ph plan. There may not be enough lime mixed in to keep that medium ph where it needs to be. It looks like a N deficiency. Might be locked out if ph got too high. Don't forget each strain is a little different as well.

no i havent tried a lower ph, i didnt now that my ph was to high everything i read for autoflower was saying 6 to 7 ph range with 6.5 being best for all nutrient absorbtion so ive been watering at 6.5.. my last grow didnt have this problem but i was also using just a generic potting mix that was heavier and guessing actually soil based. so considering i just watered my plant like 2 hours ago, what should i do now! and last watering my runoff was at 6.2, so are you guys saying that even though my runoff is 6.2 my actual mix will be highter then that?. really need to know what i shoud do now. i also dont have hydro nutes, i just have sensi grow and bloom a and b two part mixes. and i just sprouted a new seed in this mix, now im wondering if i sould just run and get some regular potting soil today. i dont have the supplies to run a soiless mix everything i bought was based for soil. i just figured potting soil was potting soil,lol.

so what would you suggest to ph my water at at next feeding, should i ph it it to like 5.5 or something to bring soil ph down or did you actually mean to ph my nute mix at 6.0. and no sadly i dont have an actual soil ph meter, just a ph pen to measure my water going in and runoff coming out. only soil ph meters ive seen are like 10 bucks and heard they dont work well so never got one.

Yeah, you could try to flush it now if you wanted to no? Then refeed last gallon with a low dose nute mix at 5.8 pH going in.

You are right that in soil it should be 6.5 but since Promix is a soilless mix you want to treat a little closer to hydro. I use Promix HP and it has a little lime in it, so the pH is balanced to around 7. I feed at 5.8 and let it rise to high 6’s as it dries out, and feed again at 5.8. Repeat.
