Hi guys,

I was hoping some of you could give me some advice on a problem I have with my first coco grow?

Genetics: Dutch Passion Colorado Cookies
Light: Invisible Sun Quantum board in a 60cm x 120cm tent
Medium: Coco coir 50/50 clay pebbles
Autopot 15l containers
Nutes: 3 x Biotab in each pot, Boom Boom spray, and usual starter kit line.
Age: 35 days

Everything going fine until 3rd week or so where the deficiency starting showing on the 1st fan leaves then started appearing on the tips of all new growth.

Last week or so she has just started looking tired and droopy and just shitty.

They have both received the recommended nutes from the manual. It's definitely not the nutrients as I have a Kush next door in my small tent running riot with the biotabs but in biobizz lite soil instead.

I've taken apart and cleaned the float in the airpot. The plants both have airdomes running.

Ph of my tap water in the tank is about 7.3 and the ph in the autopot reservoirs seems to be around 7.5+

Any advice as to what is going on and what to do to correct would be gratefully received.

Cheers.

Thank you @archie gemmill :pass:. However, I'm not that much of an expert. My hunch says it could be some CalMg problems as it seems that the yellowing started from the top leaves and in my experience plants need some CalMg supplement running them with BioTabs in coco (or at least use Silicium Flash in the starting line up) :2cents:.

Again, I could be totally wrong about that :smoking:.

Well found out what the problem was - bugs :(

I only saw them when I was right down at soil level and my eye caught the movement. Wee tiny, tiny white fuckers< just scurrying around and then diving into the coco. The plants look much worse today. I want to find out what they are but I think I might just do a complete cleanout and go again with soil. I talked myself into giving coco ago but forget that!

Thanks, guys.

Hey Mate,

This are nematodes, the funky thing about them. They can be harmless if there is enough organic material for them to digest and a healthy soilife present.
If this is not in balance the nematodes will start nibbling on the roots.
If the soil life is healthy nematode can be used as transportation devices for bacteria, and can be very beneficial.

Good luck with your next soil grow buddy!
