hey man, that ain't a bad thing actually. if you have some very clean isopropyl alcohol, contact cleaner would be better but unless you are an electrician I suppose you wouldn't have any. Take that thing apart and clean all the board and contacts with alchohol and it may start working again. It could be that there are just a few solder points that are making contact from the build up inside it.

Hey man, that 98129 is a real nice meter but you can get a 98107 for about $30 that will serve your purposes just fine. Just an idea when you go looking.

I'll have to get whatever the local shop has. I think their cheapest one is about $70 so that will have to do!

I actually do have some isopropyl but I can't get the dam thing apart. I removed the screw on the belt clip but I can't figure out what's holding it together

Just an update here. I bought a new meter yesterday and gave the girls a good watering. When I checked pH with my old meter last week, the run-off was 6.25 so I was going to feed at 6.8 to get the soil up to about 6.5. Yesterday, the first pot had run-off at 7.1 after feeding at 6.5 so my pH was actually way too high!! Not sure if the one watering without a meter raised it a lot or if my meter had been giving false readings for a while but I lowered my feed to 5.8 and my run-off was still 7.0. Hopefully another watering at a low pH will bring it down closer to 6.5 and get my stunted plants back on track:coffee break:

The plants got another watering yesterday. For the first pot I pH'd the water to 6.5 and runoff was 7.2! For the rest I used water at between 5.0 -5.5 and runoff was still 6.8 - 7.0. What would cause such high pH? I thought my deficiencies were mag caused by low pH but this has me really confused now! The BAM is starting to yellow from the bottom now so its not just confined to the AWW plants anymore

I've added some pics of the affected plant. This is pretty much how the problem started out with the AWW. I gave a feed of bloom nutes yesterday at half strength so I'll have to wait and see if it gets better or worse. Because of the faulty meter, I can't be sure what my pH was but I'm trying to get it down to 6.5-6.8 now. What deficiencies would I expect to see in a soil with high pH? Everyone says to keep it below 7 but the charts don't have many deficiencies in that area!

Same ones sean, those rust spots are calcium and the yellowing could be mag, probably phosphorous though. Too high is just as bad as too low. Really anything over 7 is pretty bad for cannabis. You have your meter now, yay! You have some good readings and you understand what needs to be done to correct it. You are on the right path bro and doing a great job. Looking at the entire plant picture, the overall health doesn't look too bad actually. Hang on a sec and I will give you a better chart.

Cheers A4! I'm determined not to let this problem fcuk up the only plant that looks like it might still have a good yield!! One of the AWW that just went into flower is the most pathetic looking plant I've ever seen lol. The other two are smaller than they could have been but are at least going to yield some bud in the end if nothing else goes wrong. The 3 AWW that are mid flower are doing fine now but I'd say they will only give a zip each max. Looks like I'll have to do another grow immediately after this one to make myself feel better :stylez rasta smoke:

I hope I'm never responsible for anything like this again lol. :WTF: Believe it or not but it actually looks a lot better today. It had the highest pH of all the pots yesterday
