Need help with deficiency!!!

I think this might be the solution all right. I'm also getting spots that look like calcium deficiency on other plants and from the chart it looks like they could both be locked out. I was actually keeping my water at ph 6.5 until recently so this would also coincide with the start of my problems. I didn't realise that it was the soil ph and not the water ph that's most important. Another lesson learned the hard way lol!

Their condition hasn't deteriorated today as far as I can tell. The leaves are still very pale but I'm thinking the buds may have grown a fraction. I uploaded some more pics that I took tonight, in better light. It's amazing how much better they look in photos BTW. They are lime green and have lost most of the fan leaves! The resin that once coated the buds has vanished and the leaves feel a little dry or papery to the touch and definitely don't look healthy! I added epsom salts to the solution I've been foliar feeding with, so with any luck, we should see improvement soon. Thanks again for the help!!

I just found this info on my soil:

pH: 5.5-6.5

EC: 1.4 - 1.8mS

NPK: 12-14-24

As it's pH is already less than 6.5 I should be keeping my water at a minimum pH of 6.5 to avoid lockouts?

391095550-good-vibes.jpgi guess at this point all you can do is watch the new growth i dont think those leaves will come back but here's some good vibes for your girls 391095550-good-vibes.jpg

Not sure ...:smokebuds:maybe A4 will be around to tell you

Ok, first thing, the one that is around 6.5 I would probably bump my watering up to 6.8. You want a little bit of a rise in ph during flowering. The one that is 5.5, bump up your watering to about 7.5 for the first one or two and get some real good runoff, like 50%. Measure it. When the runoff is reading about 6.3 then drop your water down to 6.8 and that should keep it there. Keep foliar feeding in the meantime!

Second thing, get rid of that N. You don't want them feeding on anything but P&K at right now. Especially considering your in true soil that has N in it already. The 14-24 is perfect but the N is probably what is contributing to the problem. One thing you have to keep in mind. The more nutes you add to the soil, if the plant doesn't need them, then they sit there are form salt. Salt creates a lockout of the nutes the plant does need. Salt also lowers your the ph of your soil. This late in the life cycle, the plant has quit growing vertically, when she stops is when you want to taper off N. I would assume she stopped vertical growth weeks ago and she has been steadily getting N. She can't use it much any more. To boot, the soil contains N as well. It is a recipe for disaster. Send me a pm in a few days with this thread linked so I can remember to get back and check in with you. I believe if you do those things you will see some dramatic results pretty quickly.

I'm sorry I should have made this clearer in the post but that's the info on the soil I found online. It was pre-fertilised for three weeks I think. Foolishly, I actually hadn't tested my run off until this week so I've no idea what pH my bag of soil was. Maybe it was low to start with and that added to my problem

More hiccups today! I was about to water my plants with a slightly higher pH water than usual, to sort out the lock-out I've been dealing with lately. I checked the water and it was pH 6.0 after bubbling which I thought was weird, as it's usually nearer to 8 after being aerated. I had no pH up as I never needed it so I went to the grow store and bought some, along with some calibration solution for my Hanna pH meter. I tried calibrating the meter first but it wouldn't work. I eventually got it to take the calibration but when I dipped it in 4.01 solution after, it barely dropped below 7! I'm not sure now if it's just broken since I used it last or if I've been way off with my pH levels for the last while. :Stones slap: I had to use water with an unknown pH to feed but I only added a few drops of pH down so hopefully its near the 7 mark. It's also not easy get a probe for my meter where I live so I'll have to guess the next few feeds. This gardening is a very stressful hobby lol

Hey sean, it may not need a new probe bro, you may just need to clean it. If you don't have the cleaning solution for it put it in a jar of vinegar and let it soak overnight. Hannah recommends cleaning the probe once a month so you may want to eventually purchase some solution for it. I have found if I leave mine soaking in 7.01 solution every time I get done using it, it doesn't have to be cleaned as often. I don't use the cap any longer, it just builds up algae inside. Just rinse it off with some water and drop it in a small cup of solution. Best of luck bro!

I've already got a new probe ordered now. I bought a used meter so im not sure how old it is and I want the comfort of knowing its working properly. It cost almost €75 for a new probe which is a bit steep imo! I will have to get the cleaning solution but I wont be able do another grow for a while after this so I might leave it until next time. Those solutions are bloody expensive too when you have to pay for shipping!
