Hey y'all, I'm H-chick I'm new here and to growing cannabis. I'm going to get a tent and set up inside soon, but need to do some electrical work on the townhouse first. Don't want to burn the house down while getting high. People and animals would be pissed!

For now, after looking at thousands of seeds...who knew there were so many damn strains...I've got some Early Miss seeds from Crop King coming and I'm going to try growing them outside on my patio. I'm in Houston, Texas and hope that the harvest comes before our weather is like the surface of the sun. It is hot and humid here almost year round with summer average around 90ish degrees and almost always over 50% humidity. I should have started this a month ago but hey, I didn't! I've got a big patio where I grow fruit, flowers and veggies in pots year round. I've got most of my veggies going now and they're doing great, but I'm used to growing them in Earthboxes. Not sure if that's the way to go with weed, so most likely will grow in 5 gallon pots. *I attached a pic of the veggie side of my patio from this time last year. This is where the EM girls will live.

This grow is only for me so I just want to grow 2 plants at a time and I hope to get a perpetual garden going with something growing outside or inside all the time. I hope I'm good at this as I have a long list of seeds I want to grow.

Does anyone have experience with growing EM outside? The major thing I'm worried about is the smell. I'm the middle in a row of townhomes. I've got so many other things growing that I doubt anyone would see them, but I don't need the smell advertising anything. From what I've read about EM, she's stealthy. Hope she's a good smoke too:smoker1:

I will have lot's of questions once I get going. For now, I'll just lurk and learn. This is the most helpful site I've found, so I'm glad to be a part of it.

Sorry for the complete sentences...I'm old!

Welcome to afn ,there's quite a few autos that can handle heat ,I think yours should be fine .im starting a few taison autos by VIP seeds it's a purple kush auto it's known to handle high temps,i

Thanks Dankstyle, I'll look into the taison. I think besides high temps, it's going to be mold and maybe powdery mildew I'll need to worry about. Hoping for the best!

Houston, we have a problem, this chick wants to grow some fine weed. We must do our very best to assist and make it our mission that the harvest is as fat as my penguin belly. And that is not small !!!

Over and out.....beep

Hi Houston and welcome. You picked the best site for growing auto's. may I suggest beans from mephisto as they finish fast very fast. I live in Dallas and the heat is ugly in summer

Thanks for the welcome guys! I do want to grow some killer weed, so your help is needed.
I've got my pots waiting and the places picked out, I'm just waiting on the seeds. Wish they'd
get here.

Hey Jackson, nice to see a fellow Texan! I've got a couple of Mephisto's picked out for when I can grow inside. Got some Fastbud's and DP too. That'll be in the fall. Can't wait to try different plants.

I'll be back when I've got something to show, hopefully really soon. I'm not a patient woman!!!

Finished 2 sour crack and deep Blue c under 60 days from sprout. As I said they are done very very fast.

By the way I'm from jersey moved to Dallas 35 years ago!!!

Thanks Jackson, I read your journals. They're very informative and have taught me a lot for when I move indoors to grow, hopefully by September. Did you do smoke reports on them? That's what I'm interested in the most. I'm used to smoking what I can find here (and it's not easy to find unless you're like 13!!!) so I'm interested in smoke reports so I know what to grow. It's just for me and I want to plant things that can help me with my health issues and give me a great buzz.

I'm a native Houstonian. Been here most of my 52 years but hope to be in the Hill Country in a few years.

I don't think I'm supposed to use my name, so I will be H-chick from now on. Hope I can remember that! lol

No smoke reports but I can tell you that sour crack is one of the best as it's stays small around 12" but gives you a bunch of bud. Very smooth. High is uplifting and then mellow,

The folks that have been great are @Eyes on Fire and @Waira. No disrespect for all the others that have carried me throughout my grows. These guys know their stuff
