Lighting new GN Units

That side by side pic is great comparison It looks as bright as the msoo6 which is pretty dam exciting so 75 watts to 200 watts Am I right?

This is just to give an idea of light spread between the HS1 and a MS0006 with 2 standard modules in the Center and 4 Rebel upgrades each side, the spectrum is different in both lights plus the camera was on auto so would have adjusted the settings to get the best picture but I think it gives a good idea of footprint and the evenness of the light spread.

Lost about 2 or 3 degrees bro but I should be ok with a second unit. The one thing you will notice if you get one is how evenly spread the light is across the plants there is no 'hot spot' in the Center and the colour is blended perfectly, you may have seen plants under some LED lights that have an uneven light spread so you would get some leaves and part of the plant lit up blue, some red and some a mix....this is why rotating plants under these lights is essential.

Thanks a lot for the response, you're the man! :d5:
Ok I will be prepared and see if there is any impact in my tent when the light arrives temps-wise.
That is music to my ears about the even spread since I was using MS0006 and the leaves in the centre of the tent had light burns - hopefully this will be less likely to happen with the new unit. :check:

It's especially impressive since GN stated the HS1 will be on par with 'standard' MS0006 and the picture TaNg posted for comparison was a rebel upgraded one, and still the light output seems similar - which is really great.

Nice work Tang. At 30cm the new defuser seems to be about the same as the old lens's, but at 60 and 90 its beating it hands down. I bet one of their diffrent defusers would give you the spread at 30cm if ya wanted.
Out of intrest which defuser did they send with the unit you got.

Hey Ronin,

Great questions, the new light can be connected to a bridge/command centre via the blue data connector on the back of the light (up to 64 lights per command centre) The command centre then can be connected to a computer direct via USB or through zigbee (Requires zigbee dongle) to run diagnostics, dimming, on/off etc.

There are two existing software packages for this depending on the bridge used and they will be free to download when the command centre is released.

Command centre will be sold as an option and will not be available immediatelly after release of lights. Am I right?

This is the standard 80 degree bro.

@ taNg what's it like on your eyes:Sharing One::peace: sj

The spectrum has more white than the Rebel upgrades and the standard modules I'm used to so the plants look much more like there natural colour which I love.

GN will be along in a day or two to explain the spectrum and diffusers.

Very good news.

How do you feel about the light? I hope your plants grow like there was no change or even better?
