Hey AFN friends,

I joined just prior to the web site upgrade and had started my first Autos. 3 seeds, 2 ended up to be runts and 1 was better but they have taken a beating from early summer storms/heavy rain. Not sure how they will end up
I thought I would re-introduce myself. I just posted some pics and some questions in the new growers forum. Check it out if you get a chance. I am hoping to be successful and can't think of a better place to get support.
I have read so much good information and helpful hints on AFN and I can't seem to stop reading. I live in Saskatchewan and now have a few new babies started indoors getting ready for an outdoor finish. Fantastic web site!
This is my first attempts at growing auto flowering plants, a soilless medium, and growing outdoors. It is exciting to see them in natural sunlight.

Thanks for providing a great place to grow!

Thanks for the double welcome Happy,

I started them the same way as always but an entire batch of 10 seeds only had 3 germ. I am pretty sure I had them in a spot that was too warm. Also: My DIY smart pots were also not sturdy enough and the soil cracked from top to bottom when I carried them to my outdoor spot when they were about 2 weeks old. I decided to try fabric shopping bags as smart pots and they are great but I learned to double them up and they work awesome now. Pictures on a post I made in new growers forum.

Cheers

Hi Oldschool. An outdoor grow sounds fun. I've got a couple plants in my greenhouse, and I'd like to just sink them in the soil outside to see what they would do over the summer. But I know I don't have bugs or rain or kids in my greenhouse, so I'll probably just keep them in there. But an outdoor grow sounds like fun!

Hey Oldschool,

I am a fan of outdoor grows. Not sure if my UK experience can translate to your neck of the woods, but if I can help I will. My UK grow is in my signature links.

Best of luck pal, eP.

All I can say is wow! to your plants dude. Mine are such babies and I can't imagine how fortunate I would be if mine turn our anywhere close to how nice yours are.

I sure hope you stick around to see me through

Cheers

Hi old school, new member here as well but been growing outdoors in Ontario for a few years, nice to meet another Canadian outdoor grower.
Ill have a look at your thread, I grow my autos in buckets in soilless and seem to do well.
Welcome to AFN!

Thanks Guerilla,
I grew up in Brantford, great to see you eh!!!!!! and thanks for the warm welcome. Would love to keep in touch. I feel like such a newbie when it comes to autos, soilless, and outdoor growing.

Brantford eh? not too far. I think your gonna like the auto's, its incredible the amount of growth that can take place daily, and being able to harvest before the photo ladies are done is always a bonus. Ill help with anything I can.
