first, I'd like to say hello to everyone.....:toke:

this is my 2nd yr of growing and I tried a couple auto's for shits' and giggles, they r , well, a little different ....:confused1: and I had lottsa ??'s about them , till I found this site and I've had most of my ?'s answered so far. it's been a great learning experience.
I have a ''massive midget'' that's 9 days into flowering, it went 38 days in veg, which was too long, I understand now. next time i'll plant the seed into the container right from the paper towel instead of going through all the transplanting , which I understand ''can'' stunt them for a little while, which I think it did......., but , I guess i'll find out when it finishes..
these ''massive midgets'', are suppose to be 56 days from seedling to harvest..........we'll see....:pop:...

any hoot I did start 2 more auto's 1 month after this MM was started. so they are now at 21 days from popping out, and they r doing better, ummmm just seem to be bigger at this time than the first one . oh yea:doh: I forgot, the other auto I started is a ''northern lights x big bud'' and it too is doing very well at this time. when I get more experience on these computers i'll try posting pic's.

ok dat's it, I'm back to reading ....

be well

Hey Friend, welcome. i am also growing a MM right now, check out my journal. Had a little trouble with it out of the gate as well, but it seems to be rebounding and doing well. You are a bit ahead of me so i'll be interested to see what your MM looks like. Could you post up some pics?

Welcome Fringe!
I've never had issues transplanting autos to a bigger pot right when they show sex, as long as it's done carefully. But "they" say not to. As far as your 56 days.... probably a bit longer. Check out the grow journals for some great ideas, and posting your own is a great way to get feedback and good info. Have fun!

Fringe50 No worries my friend :cooldance:we got sticky's for everything at the top of all the threads i believe the one for posting pic is in the New growers section at the very top ...i think...i have go check ,but good luck with your garden and please dont hesitate if you need help and WELCOME to the family :welcome:

Hi fringe
A warm welcome to AFN forums :)
Great to know you have had some experience with growing and that AFN has helped answer your questions about autos, Reading through journals is both informative and educational, with the benefit of some jaw dropping photos of outr favorite plant.
Unfortunately the the pic upload thread link is now out of date since the site upgrade to new er software. It is now easier than ever to upload pictures.
You can either drag and drop a picture in to the reply box or click the upload a file tab , bottom right of the page.
As long as you know which file your pictures are in it is easy as pie.
  1. Click "Upload a File"
  2. Then select folder eg "Picture" folder
  3. Then select the picture you want to up load
  4. Then click open
  5. You can then in your reply box choose thumb nail or full size
I prefer to use full size pics but that's my preference.

When your ready the best place to start a grow journal is in the new growers forum , here is a link - New Growers Forum

Massive midget is a nice strain and ideal for dipping your toe in to the auto world and Northern Lights x Big bud should do you proud but get a little bigger than the MM.
Be sure to ask questions in your journal and someone is bound to be able to lend ahand, AFN members are a friendly bunch and love to help each other when they can.
The friendly and helpful nature of the forums is known as the AFN vibe :vibe:

Keep reading, there are so many great journals and help threads, I'm sure they will make you smile as well as picking up helpful hints and tips.
I look forward to your journal with some nice pics of your ladies :photog:.

see in you the forums

Welcome Fringe.

Personally I have never had an issue with transplanting. I start off a germinated seed in a 3.5 inch pot then put into final pot after it is established, say 10 days or so, depending on the plant. To my mind, they don't seem to get checked, just the reverse, they take off !! OK, so I have a gentle technique of doing it. But it works for me. Each to their own.
Happy growing chum, eP.
