Grow Mediums Newbie needing help :-(

35C is the max in my experience, and you're right to be patient. I've transplanted many times and they nearly always look crap for a week afterwards.

Well saved, though, good advice from Gtron :)

Can't wait to see more pics and details of your system.

All the best,

steely

Hi WuShu :Sharing One:

good to see your getting some sound advise & good luck with the babies .A PH of 5.6 -5.8 is best for young plants in hydro so your a bit high ... a few drops of PH-Down (or vinegar maybe ) every 12-24 hours should help keep it in the range & they may well pick up again in a few days :peace:

Hey DW, thanks for that, I will keep that in mind. I've had nothing but sound help and good advice since I joined a few days ago, really wasn't sure what kind of responses I was going to get, needless to say I made the right choice coming here.

Having some internet problems today so having trouble adding pics from this morning but all is looking good, I clipped the 2 sets of brown curled up leaves from the bigger of the 3 plants and it's starting to look nice and green again..

Managed to upload a few pics, was literally taking forever so only put a couple on for now. Definitely showing signs of improvement though

I feel the need to advice you against using vinegar. From what I've heard it is rather unstable as a pH down. You should be better of getting some dedicated pH down.

the PH goes back up again a lot faster with vinegar than proper PH-down ,but if you needed to its fine to use as a substitute if you had none :peace:

That's interesting to know, I try and let the grow cycle the ph from 5.2 up to 6.o each day or so, vinegar might just make that a damn sight easier :)

Vinegar is far superior to lemon juice, i tested them both for soil grows and lemon juice went up a whole point in ten hours!

Looking good Wu, on the road to recovery :)

Just a little update so not much new to see. Plants starting to perk up a bit now although the tips of some of the leaves are a little brown, would it be ok to snip the tips off?

I have a new tent, nutes and some ph up/down arriving monday along with hopefully 2 new pots as one of mine is cracked and the little plant needs one asap, will post up some new pics when these babies have their new home next week

Thanks again to all that have contributed with your knowledge, much appreciated..

washustyle, I am not sure if it matters if you cut off the brown tips. I hate looking at them but I leave them alone so the plant doesn't have to waste any energy repairing the sites where they've been pruned. Good luck!
