Indoor NFT Continuation journal AFN

That appears to have worked well:clapper:

Congrats on the awards too. I didn't know there was such a thing but that's probably because I've never tried much non-420 gardening. Next year I plan on ripping everything out of my back garden so I can give it a go though....I might come bug you when I get a greenhouse and maybe even a vegetable patch:pass:

hey it looks that way do you think kush ! , ive still got the seedlings in sandwich box an Ive pour abit of res water in when it dries up. ile update !
thanx for congrats ! its nice havin a few plaques on the wall an that someone has recognised my beloved garden !
isn't it great that we can help eachover out to improve ! we are all good and bad at different things an can pass eachover knowledge we learn to one another to cut a lot of wasted time it takes just one person trying . :passit:

Information about the nutrients I use and eating habits in my nft system :

The plants over each reservoir eat around 30ppm of feed most days ! , my tap water is 130ppm to start with ! so 7 days of feed is 210ppm ! . i add that ppm to the water ppm and around 350ppm overall is all my plants need/ eat a week in this system !

Every 40 litre reservoir change I add in this order :
5-10 ml silica
4 drops dechlorinator
20-30 ml calmag
2 capfulls of A&B each of house&garden aqua flakes ( bloom or grow depending )
5 ml ph down

after adding them all I set ph to around 6.1 !

that's the first part phase of feed over

2nd part of feed (pic ) this is something im still experimenting on ! there is almost a full nutrient profile in these compartments that no nutrient company can promise me ! ( Left chain amino acids ! all the vitamins , carboloaders , long chain sugars , flavonoids , omega 3 ( 22 carbon chain length fatty acid ) which I think is a healthier long chain fatty acid than triacantonal ( 30 carbon chain length ) also my latest one is malic acid ( candy ) Ive been adding small amounts to res so I cant give a genuine dose amount until further experience ! I know taurine can be sensitive to plants so far

Pics not showing there bud.

Sounds like an involved process! I don't like using PPM though....beyond the Silica one can only guess what the PPMs are based on the EC so I wouldn't convert an accurate figure into a less accurate one.

What, if anything, do you add between res changes?

hi kush ! thanx ! All I have used is a ppm pen when measuring nutrients levels ! I have never used an E.C pen but if I did my weeks feed dose would be .5 EC = 350ppm according to this chart ! I don't feed any extra during the week but come 5-6 days they have usually consumed around 20 litres or half the res so I top up if it needs doing !

The compartments part took a while to source all the correct types and a lot of research ! and maybe £ 200-300 ! like the malic acid in the bag , I have a bag of each ingredient an I have put a spoonfull of each compartment and labelled them like you see , and what I do then is get 2 jugs of hot water an put a half of the little spoons you see of each 1 and dissolve in jug first an then pour jug in each res .

in the flowering side I have been adding more L-methionine & L-cysteine ( the sulphur amino's )

The 2 shortstuff PA's ! it will be the first haze type I have grown ! I think I had a go of a little haze many years ago so look forward to try ! , hope there is some lemony flavour there at the end , there is an exquisite sweetness there at the min .
