thanx mate ! i think they went around 90 odd days the pa's and could of went further an kept building ! there was no sign of the leaves drawing the sugars to the flowers or an ending in sight ? im wondering maybe its to do with all the additives there being fed ?

I think your spot on with the spider species ! , they are only very small things the size of them are only around 1-3mm ! and they never seem to enter onto the plants , great little things they are ! , the general behaviour of many people when they see a spider is they squerm and dont realise they are only after the bugs/ fleas that live in your carpet that bite you unsuspectedly an then dissapear again back to there layer once theve had a good teething into your leg :evil1: :evil1:!
why people kill spiders all the time when there bio pest control properties out do most other things getting rid of knits/fleas cats&dogs bring in with them an countless other house dwellers and plant eating insects ! :tang: there more handy than not i would of thought .

do you get spiders in and around your area ever kush ?

Yeah bud I quite often see jumping spiders in my attic and I also have a few house spiders up here too. Jumping spiders are my favourites though as they eat aphids, mites, fungus gnats and fruit flies......and lots of other stuff too depending on their size.

I think 90 odd days is quite normal for APA. Have you seen how long Super Cali Haze can go for? APA is just the half-marathon by the looks of it:yoinks:

cracking pictures dude! they look abit scary that close down on them dont they mate !:eyebrows: imagine a ten footer jumping after you ! :evil1: no fangxs lol ( joke )

nice that you told me you have spiders also accommodating around '! I find really interesting how the spiders work along side to help our growing , ! i know for sure they wouldnt be hanging around my area if there wasnt enough prey for them , i seem to have different leaf biting things always in area , there is always evidence of them on the plants so i always have a little spray around now and again to keep repellent smell in the air for a warning ! :tang:

yes the purple amnesia did make up the size for time of ratio ! i understand hazes run alot longer than other genetics ive read ! is that right ! in the past ive looked at that super cali looks a belter one ! , and wow thats abig amount of waiting time aint it ( i bet its worth it tho ) it sounds to me it would be good putting SCH outside to do a complete season there till the fall . im trying to sort a good day and night med in a single & each run . so far i am impressed with the fast buds strains ive done the first being ghc i finished a few months back and its defo a day time med . and im alo impressed the way my six shooter is looking progressed wise now ! i like the feelgoods your doing an getting some hod to go again soon . nice 1 :thanks:

Have you ever grown an OG? Only had about 1g of it yesterday but real impressed with the flavour and high on Auto Gorilla OG. Trying to resist digging in before I can get a dry weight though as there is a guess the weight comp on FB for it:smoking:

Am tempted to put some money spiders in my soil pots.....they're the little black shiny ones that live in leaf litter and on loose soil and they eat little insects too. They might not survive the hot, dry conditions of a grow room though.

What's your expectations for yield on the APA and how do you normally do with gpw?
:pass:

Hi kush thanx ! no i have never grown an OG yet ! , i know gsc is an og an durban poison cross it felt it swayed to the sunny sativa leaning end , at the same time i had gsc an hod both together at the time and thought the hod was back more balanced with just the sour diesel an kush mix ! , the gorilla glue i have read a fair amount of good stuff people have expressed about it , is it nice yes mmmmm  i would like to get my hands on some of them gorilla og beans in future for sure looking at yours ! ....i was wondering what shorstuff do after the testers you have done , do they release strain on market or is they alot more time of testing to be carried out ?
The spiders in mine i think drink out of my resivoir or draw moisture sapp out of the plants to hydrate ! i know them nutriculture nft's are closed off more to insects wanting a drink than my system is more open ! the small gaps i have , there are always hovering flys going in and out of the root tray ! the money spiders sound great if could introduce them they would have a ball ! :shooty::cool1: when i spray around i make sure not to spray around the spiders territory to not disscourage or kill them !

the yield for the purple amnesia bush im thinking maybe 3-4 ounces but could be well out on that figure , i have some small scales i got for measuring brassinoilide ect i think they only go up to 60g or something but ile try weigh out with them when dried , what i noticed with the PA.s they didnt shrink an awfull lot the first colas i topped off them !
the grams per watt im doing alot better now since using led from t5's , with both mars 96 reflector an mars ll 400 they cast different synergys with them used together with the being abit different casting the light ! it could be half a gram a watt im getting in flower but the plants themselves are really heavy in body weight in kgs ! , since i have been using these trays all my plants reach around the same height but abit smaller in height than nutriculure nft's and im pretty sure its to do with the size of root mass that can be reached in these sg225s ! ( the more roots the more shoots as they say ! ) :growing:

cheers ! :jointman:

Testing strains? They look ready to me bud:cheers: I'm hoping to run all the new ones.....Auto Jedi Kush next hopefully:smoking:

How much more height have you got than you use just now? If you can get more powerful LEDs on them earlier I think you could get more vigorous growth in veg and get some momentum going that they carry through into flower. Photoperiod plants might work as a game of two halfs but autos are more like a drag race......get it hooked up and go flat out.

I once did a ShortMix auto under a 125W CFL for about month.....

....and then space became available under my 600W.....

....but it didn't produce much bud as the CFL set the pace.

If you are down at 0.5gpw with LEDs the T5 might be holding you back more than previously thought......I'd maybe use them to germ with but then get more light on them ASAP.

Good info there kush ! thanx
since using the sg225 trays my plants reach approx 75- 85cm tops now as when in nutriculture trays some were getting to 90 -110cm on them trays an the only advantage i could see was there channels where the water would scatter through underneath are casting out a wider area for root growth compared to these with no channels in them , thats when i thought to have the rockwool cubes sitting on something above the flow to act the same way as the nutriculture 1s so the waterflow is not gushing into the cubes ....i havnt tried the sg225 without the plastic mesh i use in them , im thinking they may get smaller still that way with less root area ! but you mention more light and you could well be right to get a quick start pace !

yo the neweys look nice agreed kush ! :greenthumb:hope theyre out soon to buy & try :yeahthat:

Could be something in the channels right enough.

For nft tables I wouldn't mind trying much thicker bits of plastic (strong enough to stand on would probably be a good place to start) and cut channels with a router. I guess the more the channels churn the nutrient solution up on the way down it the better as it might help aerate the nutrient solution?....or maybe it just distributes fresh nutrient solution around the table better? Either way would be interesting to have a play with computational fluid dynamics to find a few designs of channels and tables that behave differently virtually and then see what happens on real tables with plants growing on them to try identify things that work better or worse.

Think I'll wait and see how fog goes before I go down that rabbit hole though.

Yes kush ! the roots love the channels for some reason dont they ? ! the water in the end must go over the top of channels with the amount of interest of the roots wanting to mostly congragate in the water passages ! ? the links to roots and running water are interesting hey !

A theory im thinking about the roots wanting to grow up the flow , is say like a fish would do sitting in the current in a river waiting for the meals to come downstream to them , and like the fish are doing , the roots are catching meals on the way down and they carry growing upwards looking for where the food source is coming from ? :confused1:

this is a system i thought about making a while back but havnt tried yet , i was thinking you could put the rockwool cube on a brick standing on edge or something simular and have a small dripper constantly dropping dropplets of nutrient solution down the side an the roots grow down nft fabric into res ! if could make it vertical could save alot of space an open to other options !. :stir: as you mention the fog is a vertical system also ! i wonder how long lifespan they possess ? why im thinking a dripper style pump than a nft pump is they may last longer with not as much workhorsing of the pump involved ? ! its all in theory but seems like it would grow down like in aero but instead there is a mid-air media to attach too.
