Lighting No money, no common sense, no problem

Is there a link where you bought them? For the price I'd like to do some testing. Noob efficiency tests with a par meter and a little math. We have an idea what Cree and citizen are so I can factor in the differences.

Thanks man! If they ever accept my real email address I could make an account

Have you bought from them before? I just placed another 300 piece order for drivers through components distributers which makes 500 drivers in the past month. The killer is there is a 5-6 week delay. I'm in the process of making a career change at it all depends on this part so being from overseas really makes me nervous as they are notorious for making knockoffs.

Yup I work through aliexpress quite a lot. Good stuff for the most part but know what you are getting. I have an IEM and headphone addiction (KZ IEM's and Superlux headphones FTW!) and some of the most astounding pieces I own came from ALI. I use my hotmail and it has been no problem. I have a couple of orders now with the light vendor and have had nothing but good things to say. Longevity and quality of life I cannot attest to since I dont have the tools or timeline to address either. Tell me what I can do to observe my lights and I will try to gather what data I can. I think I might set up my camera on a tripod in Shutter priority and see what the difference in F-stop is between the existing lights I have been using, the new light by itself, and the combined effect. That might at least give me a sense of being somewhat useful.

The biggest part of ordering off shore is the time line. I have that instant gratification thing and can only satisfy it by trickling in my purchase lists a part at a time. I am between jobs too so I know how that goes.

I have been taking temps on the heatsink and it feels pretty cool. Chip itself is running around 150f.

Let me know if I can be of any help.

Thank you. I was planning on doing some doing some par readings with same wattage citizens. I have the drivers to raise or lower each cob as needed. A member here Pop mentioned when he wore glasses he could see burnt out leds on the cobs. At that price it doesn't matter much.

Three quick images I just snapped. Light is jury rigged as of now. First is with all lights, second is light, third is without new cob

. EXIF says F8 1/125s speed for first image with light on. Third image was same F-stop and 1/80s speed. Nice difference. Second image EXIF, who cares...

I REALLY want to know what you find out. If we were neighbors it would be hanging on the fence post waiting for you to find it. I know this, if I wind up hanging it over my router table it was worth it.

Looks great in the pictures. I have a ton of shit going on right now. Not really up to dealing with them telling me my email is incorrect.

So your fans are Dc powered by a driver and the cobs are Ac? I find that very interesting.
