So im gearing up for a grow in a 8x4 tent i just set up. Ive recenty been doing more research on the no till methods and im gonna give it a shot.

I just wanted some feedback on a few things.

Im planning on doing one or two large planters boxes in the tent 2 4x4s or one 8x4 large bed. And growing quite a few autos in it.

Whats preferable one large bed, two beds ot just individual pots? I feel like the system would do better as a larger unit.

Lighting is going ti be 100% led i have 6x 300w above pars and one 600w above par.
Im thinking that should be plenty of light.

Lastly if anyone has any links to the best mixes to use to set up a organic no till live soil it would be appreciated. Thanks!

Well,I haven't done No Still in a long time and actually never actually grown using NT.However,I did read, study and sent a few people off to a great start IMO.

I will hop back on Ye Olde Laptop after a bit and see what I can dig up.

I will also tag a few people who I know are currently growing a NT set up.

Almost forgot. Another large question is drainage, im traditionally used to watering plants until 10-20% run off.
With a bed this large inside theres no way i can afford much to any runoff. If anyone can get into maintaining the proper hydration in this system it would be excellent. Im scared of too much humidity in the bottom of the planter box and running into mold issues.

I would not do anything smaller then 7 gallons for no till. If you go less then 7 gallons, it is better to remix every run. Start a worm bin now. Do not water till run off. No run off for no till.
Get blumats for watering. Get blumats for watering. Get blumats for watering. Oh yeah did I mention....Get blumats for watering.

You can grow multiple plants in one bed but I recommend using one strain per bed. This has worked better. I like the geopot 4x4 bed. The larger the bed the easier the grow will be.

1/3, 1/3, 1/3...aeration, humus or peat, and compost. Google coot mix. I have used his mix for three years.

One last thing there is a crazy fad in organic growers to not use a liming agent like ag lime or dolomite lime. This is mistake and their grow runs out of calcium in the last week of veg. And they have ph issues. Add lime to your mix.
Good luck.

Hey dude, you still about bro?! was curious if you could lend a bit of insight into how you are doing. @the green bandit

Thanks so much for everything so far. Beans arrived today
Fastbuds:
Tangie matic auto
Six shooter auto
GSC auto
GG auto
blackberry auto

Some freebies

Critical mass collective
Automasszar
Auto massassin

Another free gift "big Gs"
Auto sour diesel
Auto lemon
Auto blue dream.

I have quite a few of the fast buds beans min 5 of each strain.

So due to space ect.... I'm not growing strain specific runs. Prob going to run 2 or 3 of each fast buds strains first and maybe some of the freebies of I have room.

I think I'm set on going with the 8x4 geo pot or at worst 2x 4x4s if I cant find the 8ft local

Tomorrow I'm going to start the mixing of the medium and will certainly add some dolomite thanks @Tommy McCain I know its Ill advised but im only going to give the mixture a week or two to sit. Not sure how long people let it "marinate" I'm not so worried about burning or damaging the plants from hot soil. I've tried to burn autoflowers from fastbuds before and it just doesnt happen. Even at 2x strength synth nutes they just want more.

So few more Qs for ya. How many plants do you think I can run in a 8x4 without getting too crowded. I like training my plants its half the fun as a hobby grower so I dont want tooooo much crowding more light penetration the better, training like LST defoliation, maybe some topping if I'm feeling frisky. I'm thinking I can squeeze 10 plants in comfortably, maybe a few more but looking for input before these things start popping.

Thanks again all, stokes to start my grow journal tomorrow.
