Day 25 - After a few days she's looking healthier & spitting out new growth.

Here's a pic of here facing forward with the main stem bent over looking at you:

Some of the older fan leaves have died off but some seem to have somewhat recovered. Watered again with some high 10ph water with 6 runoff which isn't great but ran out of bottled water to run some higher test.

In any event, the auto continues to push along unlike some wimpy photos I've known. I've continued with the LST stuff and have 10 bud sites tied down and have the main stem at about 90 degrees and pushing to the edge of the pot. I'm gonna let it get to 12 or 14 branches before I let the main cola point back up.

A few more pics of her, plus a pink pic of her main stem all tied down:

Day 30 Update

Hello fellows and fellettes, day 30 has arrived and she's looking much better off!
Loads of new growth and spotting has stopped for the most part. There's still residual effects of the acidic soil, but she's improving and doesn't appear to be stunting at all.

I fed a gallon of distilled water without nutes this morning @ 7 pH with 6.1 runoff, which makes me happier this week. I had half expected to see some mid 4's draining out but seems my soil is finally taking a turn for the better. I ordered some powdered lime but am hoping I won't have to bother with it now. I may add some baking soda to the next watering instead of the ph up stuff. I'm also switching to a 3 day watering schedule from 4 as she's sucking up water faster now.

Day 30-45 of my last berry ryder grow showed growth of a little over an inch a day and pretty much stopped getting taller @ day 45. I'm expecting this same growth spurt on this grow but will be interesting to see how the LST will affect the stem growth.

I've been using cotton twine to tie down the branches and stem. It's been working out pretty well I think and seems not to do any damage. It's quite light and fluffy and I really don't have to put much pressure on the branches to get them to go where I want. I've arranged the branches in a sort of circular wreath design with 14 main bud sites. The main stem has another pair ready to be tied down today. I'm going to try and arrange them all at the same height later tonight and just let them boogie for the next week or two and see what happens.

I like your set up and I like your grow. I have no idea how LED's differ from one another since IMO all the parts come from China. I guess there are a few makers here in the US but is the price worth it. Anyways, keep up the good work!

Thanks man, I appreciate the comment. Currently what's most important to me in a LED light are the individual 3w bulb wavelengths and their ratio to one another, and that's different in every lamp. My light was cheap indeed, but a year ago was the best bang for the buck IMO & the first grow yields more than made up for any money I spent on that light. I figure I'll upgrade to something fancy once I get the growing part down pat.

i like the lights the plant seems to like it too how much heat do they put out? say if the vent shut off a few hours would the plants bake? the leds I've seen put out about the same heat as the equivalent hps
