Hey guys whats up. I’ve been looking at tons of auto strains and I see a trend in the popular seed banks.
They always have some type of search function. Its very easy and fun to use. There is only one thing missing in the search functions.

Smell profiles. Low odour. Fruity, berry, citrus, Incense, spices, pineapple, any other type of fruit type smell. Even floral, or just a low odour or relatively neutral like I read NL is.

So far from what I’ve been researching. Some of these strains might fit this profile.

I cant forget to mention that my intentions on the smells is to have them with no diesel/skunk/cheese/diesel/musky/Kush funk traditional scents, or at worst we could more then welcome a low/undertones of the diesel or skunk etc. Its also ok if the fruity/etc odour profiles that have no skunk/etc undertones are not low odour.

So this is what I’ve found so far. From research, not growing experience.

1.Polar Express Auto
2.NL Auto
3.Black Cream
4.Cream Caramel
5.Mandarin Cream
6.Sweet Devil Cream
7.Dr Krippling Dizzy lights
8.Dr Krippling Spinning Buzz Kick Femini
9.Candy Kush(Probably not) I’m not sure about this one. I’m under the impression is has more of a sweet smell then and kushy one.
10.Auto BerryRyder

There is more but, I dont want to list to many since I have not grown them.

Good idea.

In my experience (current grow is 8th auto grow) Dutch Passion Star Ryder were the lightest smelling, and heavy yielders.

World of Seeds Afghan Kush Ryder wasn't too heavy on the smell either.

But i do think lighting affects odour.

Thanks man, that WoS AKR looks like an amazing strain too. Thats good to hear. I thought it was going to be a pungent smelling strain.

By lighting. Do you mean Lower end watt CFL persay. Would produce lower odor profile then say. An HPS/LED etc? Higher wattage’s of coarse. Or even a high wattage CFL set up. Which I would assume would be more then 300watts

back in the day, I had a 250w hps and grew out a AKR that absolutely smelled up the damn house AND I had a phresh filter(NEW) oana gel and the wife's scentsy's going, and she said if I ever grew it again, she would make me take the tent down!!! That was by far the worst dank smell in the house either of us ever smelled!!! Lemon/putrid/dank ass/buttcrack is what my first AKR was!!!

hahaha I think Im going to stay away from that strain. As I keep seeing mixed reviews on odour. Maybe its a pheno that is really smelly..or vice versu.

Hello!

I can personally say that Northern Lights Auto (at least from Vision Seeds) do have that earthy smell. At the beginning it stunk up my room, as well as through the whole house if I didn't keep my door closed. So I do think that they have a pretty strong odor. I do not use a carbon filter, instead I use those dryer sheets to cover up the smell (and it's working very well!).

Oh, I must add that it only smells earthy during the vegetation state, but I'm assuming when you consume it, it might have a hint of sweet citrus. If it starts to have a sweet citrus smell, I will add it to my grow journal then.

I hope this helps!

Hey Ducky. Thanks for the input. Yes, it does help =). Question about the earthy smell. Was it overly obvious that it was cannabis kinda earthy? or just a particular type of earthy smell that was not necessarily identifiable?

Well since I am a complete noob to everything cannabis-wise.

It smells just like the typical cannabis earthy smell, as well as when you mess around with it, the smell is different, yet you can tell it is cannabis.

It seems like the earthy smell, as well as the pine smell is what I usually smell around where I live and work at.

I just started growing this, because I am very new to growing and apparently NL Auto are able to take a little bit of negligence.
