Hello everyone. First as obvious my name on here will be Sqweekers. I will begin by saying hello and thank you for having me on your great site. I will start out simply by saying when your talking noob, I guess you could say I would be the very definition of the word. I will start out by telling you my story and we can go from there.

I have always been a cannabis smoker most of my life and when I married my wife of 15 years now, I always said she was a hippy born in the wrong generation. For many years I could not smoke due to job obligations ect. Im sure some of you can relate. I have always been one to go to someone to buy my cannabis and never really thought of growing my own due to what it could cost me and my family. Now the laws are changing and something in my life has changed as well.

I was recently (last 2 years) hurt badly in a work related accident and am now disabled for the rest of my life and have major nerve damage in my spine and legs. I never really though of cannabis as a pain solution before until one day I was talking to a friend and told him I was so tired of opiate pain relief and he suggested I try some of his medical cannabis. I thought to myself, Ive smoked before, what does this really have to do with pain? Well thanks to him and many others now, I def realize what it does and how it can help me. I actually feel bad for not being so knowledgeable before as I used it for the "fun" aspect of it.

Well I am now at a point in my life that I need something besides the addictive pain medication they are giving me and am about to move to Colorado and buy some land and start my first "legal" med grow. I know absolutely nothing about growing and thanks to the friend and longtime member here, I think I will be put on the right track. It seems from what Ive learned from him so far Autoflowers is the way to go for me. So I hope some have patience as I learn and ask questions here and finally get the relief I have found from all the diff aspects of medical cannabis. Thank you for reading my short book of a post here and look forward to speaking with many of you and posting my pics when i get to that point! Thanks again and special thanks to who brought me to all this knowledge. Im sure he is reading this.:peace:

Welcome to AFN Sqweekers!

You couldn't have come to a better Cannabis online community of brothers and sisters. There are so many incredibly knowledgeable and generous folks on here, that really do care and want to help. I continue to learn so much on here everyday.

I can relate you your story bigtime, as many on here can as well in the use of Cannabis for chronic pain/diseases.
I hadn't partaken of Cannabis for 30 years(1980).
Five years ago, I was also injured on the job, then found out whole spinal column was degenerated/degenerating. So was on massive amounts of Opoid pain meds.

Two years ago someone recommended MMJ to me. Wow! First time I smoked it did more for my spinal chronic pain more than all the Oxyies I was taking. I am a legal MMJ patient in my state, live out, and getting all set up for my first grow both indoors and outdoors.

So again welcome brother.

Welcome to the Network, and we're glad to have you among us. Sorry to hear about your troubles, but although not as bad it sounds, I definitely feel you there. I had spinal surgery in the C area a year ago and started really coming around to the medicinal qualities of this amazing plant Mother Nature has provided for us. :D Good luck on your move and all and let us know if you need anything. :smokebuds: :D

Hi Sqweekers, read your article with interest, am exactly in the same place as you :(( After removing the nerves all down the side of my leg after my achilles tendon surgery went wrong, again, I know suffer from chronic nerve pain down the side of my leg, even though my feet and legs are completely numb and I have tried all the opiates, large quantities, Gabapentin the highest dose possible and the only thing that works is different cannabis. I wish I could move to Colarado as well but we have to make do with growing it in doors. Good luck and I hope things go well for you. This is a really good site, I read it for a week before I joined and I have already had some excellent feed back.
