Northern Light--Tacoing/Cancoeing

A 48 hour update. Thanks to the above for the input. This plant's leaf growth has been consistently cupped from the outset. Its growth pattern and hardiness is not what I expected from a NL. I looked on the forum and found one NL from the same breeder with much different characteristics (barring some PH problems)--more in line with what I would expect a NL to look like. This seed bank like many will not share the NL genetics. In fact, they are calling what should be "Northern Lights" "Northern Light" or "NL" etc. I am getting off track but most of us would like to know what the phenos are/genetics.

The plant is growing at a steady pace. I have added lots of water in the area and more air circulation. Temp is down at times to 76 and not above 79. RH has been up as far as 35%. The stablemate is doing fine and the NL shows some flattening out of leaves as shown in the photos (new leaves still come out cupped). As you can see via photos plant is very green = rich N soil. This NL as it was labeled is genetically hyper-sensitive. It has not started any pre-flowering and may take time--who know it may start growing vertically or not flower at all.

DubV--you are right. If your growing conditions are dry one must look at the strains that flourish in drier conditions.

I just had to break out the humidifier for my 11 babies as well Alan. Having a hard time staying around 35 and it 12 outside! Come on summer!

You can alway throw a large dish of water in the room to boost your humidity. I use a large tuperware container. Try to place it in the path of your fan.

An update. I lowered the temp and increased the RH consistently. The plant has grown a great deal and is green with no signs of PH or nute problems, yet after five weeks there is no sign of pre-flowering. Leaf formation still rolls out and the stalk is appears weak in the upper region and probably unable to support flowers. I will snap a photo for those who may have a similar problem. Beginning tomorrow, sadly, the CC will now have the full LED and all of my attention.

A quick photo for you ashcreme.

Alan if you cut that thing down your nuts. Just keep doing what your doing. That thing is awsome. It will not flower yet because it is not ready. That plant can take a little longer than most. Give it time my man.

Alan that sucker is acting like my last bubbliscious bro! She had curled leaves almost the whole grow and didn't flower I believe till almost week seven! After I had a complete ph disaster with her she lost all of her color but still yielded 38 grams! Don't chop her yet bro! I would take her into my infirmary if you like? Lol...

OK, I will give it some time. I had planned on having Sal and Vinny come by around midnight. Now, Sal wanted to straighten her out with a couple of branch breaks, but Vinny insisted on the little drive in the trunk out to the desert. He said he had a real nice hole all set up. They won't like it but there are plenty of plants out there that refuse to flower. :twist:
