Hi guys I'm starting my first grow soon using a Rdwc setup, not sure what to use for nutes. Will be growing fastbuds GSC. Anyone have any recommendations for a simple starting nutes setup for a first time grower? Preferably something I can get in Australia either ebay or online is fine.
I've heard good things about skunkwerks

I've use both House & Garden and Cultured Solutions in rdwc. Both are good but I give the edge to the CS. Easier to use and a bit better results than the H&G. I don't know if CS is available in Australia but H&G should be since they are a Dutch company that sells world wide. You might also want to check out https://manicbotanix.com/. They are an Australian company that makes their own line specifically for dwc/rdwc. Their web site is also a wealth of outstanding information on hydro growing.

Hey mate,

I rate and use FloraNova and floralishish (sp?) all the way (plus whatever toppers you like).

Organic derived so will not kill any microbes you might like to get helping things in the root zone.

damn missed your post muddy dont know how but thanks for the info, that site is great, will give me something to read while at work.
i ended up going a different approach and used soil, and went with tangs basic guide using the Advanced Nuetrient line, will take these into consideration for my next grow for sure. i still do plan on doing RDWC i think at some point, thinking big... perhaps something like what muddy is running (its what inspired me to want to go RDWC in the first place seeing that system your running) i'd love something like that in 8 or 16 problem is getting them in australia prebuilt they are crazy expensive, so i'd have to look at doing something DIY.

this tent im in is getting the ditch i think next run, and turning the whole room into a grow room instead. would go from 5x5 tent to 10x10 room with a 10x2 closet space i can use for drying and stuff.

I would try a couple of different brands to find out which works best with your water supply.

Hi Rayuki,

I have been using a brand of nutrients made in Australia, so should be readily available for you,They are called cyco nutrients, look for the platinum series. Make sure they don't have any growth hormones in them, I know they are banned in the UK and US but not sure about Australia. They do a good range of nutrients for all growing mediums. I also use great white beneficial bacteria and a bit of Epsom salts. The nutrients are pretty good and give very good results and are made with high purity ingredients.

Good luck Cain1.

You're very welcome. Yes, that is a great site. I've learned so much from it. Some sections I've read several times. I just wish he had a search on it. I just bought an ORP meter for measuring the strength of my sterilizing agent. I learned about it there and when I tried to find the information again it took me hours to find it. I've corresponded with the owner a bit and he's very protective of his data, which is why there's no cut and paste. It's all copyrighted. Can't blame him as it's obvious how much research he's done.

These systems are pretty easy to DIY. All the parts that CC uses are available either from them or other sources. I've already built a DIY rdwc veg system and have plans drawn up for one in my outdoor auto box. 10 x 10 is a nice sized area. You could grow a ton in there. That closet would make a nice veg area, either for starting autos early or photo clones.

It mostly trial and error and growers preference. Pay around with some various nutes and look for changes in the plant but use nutes sparingly

So far the AN stuff I'm using following tangs basic guide are going great, girls loving them. But yeah thanks @Muddy I got big ideas for this space and I feel Rdwc will be the way to go, will start figuring out some diy stuff for it.

Let me know if I can help. Maybe you can avoid some of the issues I had.
