OPINIONS ON WHICH LST METHOD IS BEST??

Hi im wondering which route of lst to use.
Im thinking of two methods one is tying down the side branches and then the top creating a star shape like this:

Which creates a nice even shape

And an end result like this:

Or the other method which i dont have pics for but its tying down the top stem first then keep tying the top to the edge as it grows then it goes around the pot in a circle shape.i imagine more branches will get light the star method and the plant will get bigger.but thought ild ask u peeps what u think
