OPINIONS WANTED: What is an acceptable germination rate?

I guess I fall into the 70 to 80%, I regularly pop 6 expecting 4. Usually end up with 5 or all 6. But my expectations are 4.
Also agree that I'll pop many more seeds if running reggies, not only dealing with the non-germinating, but removing unwanted males takes the final # down.

Not paying 15$ a seed. Certainly not paying 100...

Might be a bit of difference between autos and photos... I'd probably pay more for something I planned on cloning running over and over. But then it would also probably be a cut I was getting, not seeds.

I also take into consideration the freebies sent along. If I order 3 and get 5, that drops the price some.

It is not often I don't get 100 % . I may get a wonky one here and there and I also direct sow to pot .

Honestly if they are auto's or fem 80% and up would be ideal. I haven't bought a seed in years I usually get them from the tests and battles. Still I would want the highest possible percentage due to the fact that I grow 3 different strains every grow.

Howdy! 80% would be nice for seeds i pay for. Generally my experience is higher though. Now these days i have my self made seeds and do tons of clones, i don't care about the germ rate much anymore but it's usually pretty good, definitely above 80%.

Always expected 75%, with the survival of my last seed from local hydro shop I'm 5 out of 15... Just getting back into it I did expect a relearning curve but the "oh well not our problem" attitude they had now has me ordering online and putting up with waiting for shipping... ON EVERYTHING. 2 bucks less there for HF and OF than Ace hardware but I buy from Ace hardware...
