Everybody on here is indoors. This is my first auto. Does anybody grow outside? It is obvious to me that the seed bank encourages early harvesting. Do the leaves still yellow outdoors as a flush is not possible? My NL says 56 days, which is Wednesday coming up. One NL just went into heavy budding. No way I am going to yank it in 5 days. Any input would be appreciated. Used to growing outdoor Kush varieties. I usually get around 1 lb per plant. I am really good outdoors and would like to duplicate my success with these autoflowers. They are looking real nice. Will have photos soon.

Hey Trainwrecked glad to have you here, we have a lot of outdoor growers most of the upper members grow outside. I myself do not but I can get you some help Buddy. If you pop over to the intro section introduce yourself and let people know your a outdoor grower looking for some help you will definitely get more action. Don't for get to ready site rules also its for you and our safety and in the name of the vibe we try to keep here so if you know the rules they won't be any bad exchanges down the road. Love the name sweet seeds has a auto Trainwreck that is great you might want to check it out. But I will get you help now bro.

Hey Trainwrecked :) welcome to AFN!

I'm an indoor grower myself but that's because i don't like bugsssss (and the rain).
There's a good few outdoor growers here, thinking maybe Swampman and Kudo and LitteT, but i'll see if i can find someone to chime in here.

I'll try to answer your questions in the meantime

Yeah, don't believe them. Their times are mainly based on the earliest you can harvest IF you start on bloom nutes as soon as you see flowers forming.

For yield, you'd be better off feeding veg nutes until vertical growth stops and then hitting them with the bloom nutes.

So don't yank them :) you've had some good harvests before and know what you're looking for - keep an eye on your buds and harvest when you are sure they're ready.

As far as i know the leaves will yellow at the end of the life regardless of the flush (which a lot of people are calling a "cleanse" if its the process of feeding plain water for it's last week or two to force the plant to use itself up and finish off)

All the best
Blue ^_^

Yeah, I made the mistake of going to bloom nutes too quick and switched to tomato food. Things still look decent. One AK49 looks like it will be a 3 ouncer. Thanks for the tips folks.

If you have the time, of course let them grow.

I grow outdoors, and you can usually determine maturity as you do photo's, buy the trichomes.

I know you have some experience so I won't bore you with details unless you ask.

I never finish on time, because they base that rate on thier own indoor grows.

Hopefully you can get a full harvest, just do the same as you would a photo. You maybe will get the yellowing, but be sure it is not a cal/mag or PH issue.

What kind of nutrients are they getting?

glad you are here at AFN

I normally use guano but this time I used Miracle Gro Tomato and Bloom with compost. Leaves look great. There was some bug damage to a few leaves but the praying mantis must have ate them all. I read somewhere that i should given them a root stimulant in the beginning because they go to bloom so quickly. I read that will increase yields. The AK49s don't seem to mind my mistakes. The NLs are much pickier but one of them took budding like crazy last week. Forst time I used Miracle Gro in years. I used to buy Guano near my house but the place went out of business. Found a new place not too far away. Will be back on Guano next time. Also worked in Sphagnum Moss into mu soil mix this time. First time I tried it. I am also growing photo Ice. Most of them look awesome.

Not preferred but I was in a pinch. Found a new place nearby for guano. Will be back on guano next grow.

In a pinch, you can get a 30lb. bag of composted cow manure for $4.00. just a thought. or chicken manure, lots of alternatives if you look at what may be available. I understand using what's available in a pinch, I'd just make sure MG was truly a last resort.

Thanks for the tip. I can get cow manure anywhere. never used it much bit will keep it in mind for future reference. Any tips on how much per plant and how often to add it? i normally use guano in substantial amounts. I like because it seems impossible to burn the plants. My last photo Kush grow I averaged about 15oz per plant. Obviously with MG I am holding back because I don't want to fry my ladies. Been so hard up for free time I took the EZ way out this year.
