I live in a geographical location that has either an 11/13 or 12/12 light cycle all year round and stays somewhere in the 70's & 80's temperature range all year long .

I'm wondering what photo strains would go through the flowering process normally under these conditions, if any? I know that I can simply plant some autos outdoors, but I like the idea of fewer plants with larger yields.

Any suggested photo strains? If I should stick with the auto strains due to the light cycle, which ones would be good in a very humid environment?

Thanks!

ur prolly gonna wanna try looking around for outdoor LOCAL Stable genetics! something thats already Aclimated to Ur surroundings. hopefully u know some good farmers that u kmow in person. Good Hunting friend. Maybe check out Sensi-Seeds and World of Seeds as well they have a good amount of Landrace genetics, id check w.o.s first! ne way check em out im sure u will find something great bro.

That's a great idea, but unfortunately the local strains are TERRIBLE. And, I mean....TERRIBLE. I moved here a couple years ago and had no idea that pot like this still existed on Earth...The commercial stuff that made it's way to the midwest in the 90's was at least 5-times better than this local weed. (at least!) I don't even want to smoke it...it's that bad. On top of that, no one I've met will give away seeds because they charge $20 a joint and don't want to increase the public supply.

Your wisdom is obvious in your recommendation, but I'm really to the point where I need to bring in something of my own. I have read that Indica strains evolved in hot & humid tropical environments, is that true?

JM, I will check them out and thanks for the recommendation!

To be honest, I would probably say go with photo If thats your light situation. AFN please dont hate me for that lol, but If you are stuck with 12/12 photos in a relative sense act like autos, they veg untill sexually mature like 30 day if not mistaken and flower for just a little longer like 14 weeks if I recall correctly. Keep in mind some strains do great in this setting others not so much like Northern lights does really well (indica dom. dont quote me on that though). Also with photo seeds way more seed selection with less cost too. Hey but that just my :2cents: take it with a grain of salt, and do a little more research as my info may be off a little bit. Hope it helped

P.S. 12/12 lighting for photos is really up and coming!

Moons, thanks for the input! I had assumed that a photo plant stuck in a 12/12 light cycle would be confused somehow and never mature due to it expecting a fall-season light cycle that never happens. But, I'm far from an expert on the topic. Realistically, I should try both photos and autos of various strains to find one that works in my climate/location.

Everyone: Any suggestions on mold-resistant photos and/or autos that you think may do well in a humid 12/12 light cycle?

Thanks in advance!

JM, thank you once again. I am going to seriously consider the Bluebonic X GG#3. And, the article you posted is some great reading!

Thanks for your help!
