Outdoor Outdoor northern lights - nirvana

Nice. I've topped and cropped my northern lights, she's over 60 days and just starting to flower. Nothing like that

I hung it to dry right below where I grew it in a semi shady area. I left some leaves on to help protect the buds from light.

After 3 days of hang drying to took the outer leaves off....

Yes very nice dude, you did good imo. Sometimes it's nice to wait until the calyx's are swollen like a real seeded bitch haha but I bet that will still be a nice knockout stone.

I know it's hard but the difference between harvesting earlier and waiting can make a huge difference in yield and quality. I was never one to watch trichomes turn from cloudy to amber but a general rule is to wait until all of the pistils are brown/red and the calyxs start to swell. Although I find some automatics outdoors don't show maturity like I would be used to under lights where I only ran my favorites back in the day. The same strain harvested at different budding times can have different quality of high as well. You got some frosty buds to enjoy, so you win. I'm in the middle of a cool week of rain and kinda freakin about mold myself, if I screw it up I've got all winter to snivel about waiting too long for the one plant I've got.
