Lighting Overkill?

Hi guys,

I need your opinions. 2 autos at preflowering and 2 photo at vegging.
6 x t5 55 w + 2 x 80w + 2 x60w

edit: sorry i was on phone. i mean, is this setup too much for 4 plants? Lights are on 18/6.

The lights are fine but when they start to flower you should use more soft white bulbs like 3500k that has more red spectrum but what you have will work.

i have tons of 2700k bulbs, but do autos really need red spectrum? I have read somewhere that it doesnt matter for autos. is it true?

Ok i installed 2 more pll 2700k total 820 actual watt now

Where did you read that? All plants use the full sun spectrom from blue to red and Autos need more red to fully develope there flower buds.All though you can grow them under 6500k and they will flower but you will have a much better plant when using the full spectrum.

you cant go overkill with CFLs imho )) just position right and close as possible to your tops..

I did CFL grow in a closet with 4 150w equivalent bulbs and the plants cane out decent Lil nugs was kind of larf weed but in my opinion a low watt how would be a wiser use of watts
