There are no holes in the bottom of the can. The roots all stay in the can. What you would think of being the resivour is actual the bottom 1/3 of the can. The coffe can just holds the water.

I hope this clears up any misunderstanding. If there were holes in the bottom and the roots could grow down then yes that would definately be cheating so I understand your thought process.

Never had a thought that what you said was not true...

Here is a quick update. This plant is turning into some weird droopy bush pheno or I am just drowning it not sure but it is pretty large all things considered and I figured at some point I would run into some issue. I might start chaning the res every 2 days I am thinking instead of 3 or 4 and I might do some kinda ebb and flow with a timer maybe but I gotta do some reading about that still.

What do you hydro guys think?

I moved it out of the phototron today and into my box so I can see if I can stretch it out some with the lights being higher.

Scott that is a healthy looking snowryder. Nice dark green broad leaves. Looks like a nice bush pheno in a 16 oz can :drool: the way your set up is would lead me to believe that your only problem could be over watering. With a little fine tuning I'm sure you can dial in the flow. That plant is def
