This is going to be a work in progress, hopefully with a little unput from yourselves.

I often see questions regarding pest identification and quick remedies to get rid of the little critters. I'm not saying I have the answers because I don't but I did notice there wasn't a thread to help ID any bugs so I thought it was about time to get one going.

I'm gonna start by uploading a few photo's purely for visual reference and then possibly later tonight or tomorrow I'll do some research into how to combat the damn swines and give a bit more info on each individual pest.

Feel free to add any pictures/remedies of your own, knowledge is power and you hold the key.

how long does it take for this to happen ..GgggEEEggggg

I've had spider mites bad before, but never that bad. I'd guess that took 8 or 10 generations. Eggs hatch every 3-4 days, so maybe a month. I've lost whole photo plants in a guerilla grow to those little bastards.

I have a few pics of my own, but I think it's too much of a hassle to find out their English name. I know all the bugs in my garden already, by function as well as state and lifecycle. So it'll be too much effort for a few 'likes' in return here.

Ladybugs SAFE! Hatching on this pic.

Stinkbugs? Is that the name for those green and brown diamond-shaped beetles? Anyways, they leave holes. And they smell awfull, bitter. Also, they make holes in young leafs.

We call them mining flies, because their larvae 'dig' shafts (hihi!) in leafs. You can just squash these inside the leafs and they'll die, leaving the leafs intact. Making your plant look like a tattooed sailorman. Or more some kind of jersey-douche with tribals.. Actually.

So far for my two pence, or cents, or eurocents, eypocents, dirham or baht.

Nice addition dude, I will get round to adding more shortly. Such a lazy stoner....

Those 'stink bugs' or whatever they are, are everywhere here, luckily nowhere near any consumables but yeah, they're pain in the ass.

+Rep heading your way for the help bro.

:peace:

Lizards spit out those bugs because of their taste.. I've tried ;-)

So whats the solution for these thrips, my ladies are outside and no doubt this is the reason, I was thinking of bringing them into a tent but I do not want to contaminate the tent with outside bugs.. thoughts anyone? Would I run the same risk with a separate tent or should I just leave them outside. My problem is that school is out for summer but I think they return before my 8-10 weeks are up and I am worried about the smell, I live literally next door!
