Hey all.

I am a follower of all things Organic and Self Sustainable. Unfortunately the place where I live does not allow me to be Self sustainable due to issues with the landlord. That's truly the crap about hiring. I can't wait to own my own place one day to grow and build and do whatever and whenever I want. ........but back to the now.

I have managed to get a small piece of the garden where I can plant and grow things. And after a lot of reading I am now motivated to start venturing beyond my world of knowledge and explore the greater things things that mother nature has given us to use.

I was blown away with how easy it is to make your own teas and bloom fertilizer. Something is only heard about and wished I could pull off. It sounded way to difficult and looked complicated but if you just gear down a bit a take things slowly you start seeing the ways and realise that it's super easy.

I have gotten my ingredients ready to make my 1st CalPhos feed and busy looking for my stuff to make my bloom fertilizer. I will post as I go along so that others can learn and also that I can be corrected as well where I go wrong.

For my Bloom Fertilizer I will be using the following fruit:

Avocado

Phosphorus per 100g =55 mg

Potasium per 100g =485 mg

Banana:

Phosphorous per 100g =27 mg

Potassium per 100g =358 mg

Melon:

Phosphorous per 100g = 21mg

Potassium per 100g = 267 mg

I am still thinking about replacing one of the items or adding coconut milk. The Phosphorous value of 49mg per 100g. I can even for as far as to do 2 bloom fertilizers. The 2nd one can be more Potassium for the last 2 weeks before the 2 week flush. Maybe adding a small amount of Nitrogen weeds like Dandelion just to have a trace element of Nitrogen......or would you advise against that ???

Is it necessary for the last 2 weeks flush if using Organics ??? I have always flushed my soil ........

So yeah that's my plan for the very near future. I just need to get to our local Fruit & Veg and get me some fruit :cooldance: .

Hey guys

I though id post some pics of what I have in my garden at the moment. Here is 2 San Pedro's that I got. They are cuttings and have been growing for a little less than 1 year.

I am planning on making some San Pedro tea again. Not looking forward to the taste but hey, sometimes you got to purge your body. Sorry for the photos being sideways......

I planted some mothers out in the garden as well. Pretty sure they are gonna suffer but I just don't have the space. The mothers are:

Northern Lights x Exodus Cheese
Original Cheese
Malawi Gold
Unknown Chronic

We have started our winter and I don't expect them to do wonders. I had to make a choice and those are the ones that had to go.

This is only 1 plant. I will post pics of the other ones as soon aso they start looking good.

sooo what are you trying to do exactly? Are you mimicing another recipe or style exactly in your region? I ask since there is a fairly cheap option until your ferts are blending with soil and your liquid feds. 1.5CF of soil/Coco coir brick/EWC(30LBs)/and perlite(3-5gallons) and a 20 dollar pack of stuff. just saying its an option until your ready to figure things out a little more. either way broheim best of luck n happy harvesting mang :D

Well I am just showing what's up in my backyard. I know there are far easier ways to get soil going and pull of crazy harvests but i want to build my soil up using only organic material and also to follow the No Till method. I have been doing it for a few years now and the soil has improved quite a lot. I still have a bit to go but after I make a couple of Worm towers in the garden things should be much better.

The other reason for this thread is that I also planted quite a lot of seeds. Marijuana / Vegetables / flowers. Basically all the seeds I had left over from last year.

I like the mix you mentioned. I am gonna mix that up and pop it into a pot. My wormfarm is super active and they are making Castings like crazy.

The soil you mention, do you refer to compost ???

ahhh ok sweet. seee didnt mention that you have done it an recycled and built it LOL! nice man, real real nice. yeah I was just thinking of a simple slap together recipe for fairly cheap and can get a cpl auto grow per batch if you boost with nice teas. its the tlosoil.com 5LB pack.its the revs 2.1 Masters mix. its a pretty decently cheap and effective mix as well. been using it for awhile. but for the price its effective. Best of luck with your beds man. no,not composts but better packs like the KIS soil systems pack. its 15LBs and makes 30 gallons of photo strength soil as I understand it and works amazingly beautiful when blending with frsh vermicompost is all. and fresh compost? fuggetaboutit . killer stuff. looking forward to seeing your grow bro :)

Funny though. I am thinking of dropping 10 auto's in the spot under the shade cloth. Not sure what to get yet. Been thinking about getting some regular auto's from seedsman and let that take its course. My hopes are to get a bit a seed for the following season and so forth.

Really hoping for the Poppies to germinate. Was blessed with a generous amount and I just spread them all over. Our rain season started last week so all the seeds are getting nice and wet. The problem with the weed seeds sprouting now is that the wet weather is gonna fuck up the plants and bud rot is probably the future. Hopefully is can make some hash out of it or something. I also discovered some pine tree seeds in my refrigerator which I forgot about. Will be planting them as well but they will be used for Bonsai.

Very nice ,I have been growing for a number of years sustainable, organic and experimental organics using only natural native sources, getting good results usin some custom methods but really excited about learning more and applying some of the many new methods ,been into organic gardening my whole life I can remember being laughed at in college because some of my ideas were a lil out there ,luckily I had a professor who would say now in theory that could work grow out and prove it lol still at it .

Fully agree with you. I used chemicals on my 1st indoor grow. LoL, it was a 80w pc grow. I used bagseed Swazi and I pulled it off and the smoke was epic.

After that I turned to Organics. It's cheaper and better for all things living. Never felt good when I fed the plant but hey, noobs need to start somewhere I guess.

Really looking forward to making my own veg and bloom fertilizers. The misses was not to pleased when I mentioned that I am gonna take her blender to blend up a fish. Hahahahaha.

Fish very good, smells bad lol excellent n source, welcome I'm glad to see another organic grower not a whole lot of us ,but the members we got well top notch ,and the motto of organics ought to be quality over quantity, rings true every time.

Hoy Stinky and @dankstyle J After seeing your garden Stinky , I recon ya can do what I do . Build your soil outside on the ground , I work on the soil for 2 months [ only because it takes so long adding the stuff I use] I start with the slow break down things first , , compost , bat guano , cow manure , egg shell powder , and what ever else I can get my hands on . That done I will not take much notice of the soil ph . Then I start feeding the soil , [ worm tea - seaweed - home made fish hydro - ect ] So being in direct contact with the ground I am already introducing microbes , This is about at the 2 month mark , again don't worry about the -- p h --
Now worm farm , Take a bunch of worms , lets say 10 cups in 200 ltr . Give them 2 weeks and see if you can find the , if not you have to rework you soil , Because the worm will be your best indicator. Its like @#$% you man I'm out of here this place it sucks ,or -- Hay Hecno , when is the next party
Think Like A Worm . A happy worm is happy soil . In my next soil I have around 10 ltr of the little buggers wiggling around so far . Now here is a secrate bit of info . If you see little worms in you soil , you will know they have most likely come up from the ground witch means ya on the right track . So by this stage you are at 3 months or there abouts . Uooops I forgot , Still feed the soil ,along the way . Simple , Lacto - Worm tea - So we move on , I start to use the top of the soil as a mini compost pile to feed the worms , I just bung in some - coffee grounds - chopped bananas storks - soaked cardboard - and other stuff , -- again don't worry about - Ph - it is not a issue -
Now we are at the stage of just keeping the worms and microbes happy , So the only disturbance to the soil stops at 3 months , no more mixing , the next 2 months are to not destabilize the soil . I keep feeding the Microbes and Fungi , plus the worms , -- and again , don't worry about the Ph , because by now your soil is in balance , ---- Which brings me to your Fertilizer teas . It is not so much about the - NPK - you are looking for but the enzymes and microbes , With your soil in balance the is no need to add extra nutrients as it is already in the soil for the plant to take as it needs it . --- Now mate I have to say this , All of the above is only my way of thinking , I may be way wrong here . This is only what I have seen :vibe:
