New Grower PH clarification

So I just watched/read a couple different grow guides by Jorge Cervantes and Seymour Buds (Seemorebuds).
Between the two, I have an ideal soil range of 5.9-6.5 and an ideal soil range of 6.5-7.0.
Needless to say, there's a little bit of range there.
Can anyone tell me which is one more accurate and why there are different
"ideal" ranges being referenced?

I think the earlier ph range is for earlier on in the grow and the later ph range for when in flower. Something like that.

The way I do it is to just aim for your soil being 6.5 during the whole grow and you will be fine.
